What would be the hazards?

Imagine you have been assigned to build a  bridge  across the Bering Strait, connecting Alaska to Russia.
What natural  hazards would you need to consider when building this bridge?

For this bridge, I would build it sturdy. It would need to hold against wind, ice, and cold weather. I would make it a tunnel bridge so there won't be any ice or water on the road. There would have to be stops at the end checking for passports and papers, so those could help support the bridge itself.
