The four nitrogen bases are cytosine, guanine, adenine, and thymine. They match up like this:
A goes with T, and G goes with C.

cytosine, guanine, adenine, thymine, sugar phosphate backbone, base pairs, and nitrogen base make DNA. A goes with T, C with G, and one adenine base is alone.
