I think the advantages are that no pollution is made so its good for the environment.

i think the disadvantages are they dont make as much energy as fossil fules.

An advantage of wind energy is that its a different way to have electricity in your house and a disadvantage would be if its not windy, you don't get any electricity or whatever you need. That's why when some people have wind eneregy, they also have solar panels on their roof.

Solar Energy:
For us to MASS-PRODUCE it, meaning our reliance on it is like more than 50% of the whole world population, we would need to clear off large areas of land to put the SOLAR PANELS there.
Advantage- Eco-friendly
Wind Energy:
Same with solar power, if we use it too much, then it can affect weather systems, and affect birds migratory system, because they'll be chopped up if we put our wind turbines in their migratory path...
Advantage- Cheap, eco-friendly
Hydro:
Destroys water ways, thus weakens our eco-system because the species of some places need the water from the river, but once that river is blocked, then they have no water.
Ecofriendly..

A advantage of wind energy is it is free power the disadvantages is there is a big moving blade in the air .

a disadvantage of these things are hydroelectric could cause a flood or a fire, solar energy could get a house to hot and possibly set it on fire, or make the house too hot so people suffocate & die, and wind energy could overpower wind mills & either destroy them, or set it on fire.

Wind energy is friendly to the surrounding environment, as no fossil fuels are burnt to generate electricity from wind energy.

The only disadvantages of all three of them are the cost. They're very expensive. Solar and wind are less than 20 percent efficient, so the output is not very dense. With time and innovation, I believe those can be rectified. The advantages of all of them is that they are infinite, renewable, reusable, and low-maintenance. That wind will blow, water will flow, and sun will shine are all guaranteed.

Disadvantages Of Solar Energy: Solar energy is an inexhaustible source of energy. Solar energy has its own disadvantages which include high installation cost.

Up it does not hurt the earth down it takes longer to get.

It doesn't pollute the air but cost a lot of money.

A disadvantage is that Solar Energy Panels are expensive products, so it would take a lot of money to make it our main energy source. An advantage is it would not harm the air, or pollute the Earth, like oil, and coal.

There are multiple disadvantages to using solar power like when night falls you might not have enough power to charge a divise you might have at your house because they dident get alot of energy cause it was a cloudy day.

Advantages:
1. Solar energy is free although there is a cost in the building of ‘collectors’ and other equipment required to convert solar energy into electricity or hot water.
2. Solar energy does not cause pollution. However, solar collectors and other associated equipment / machines are manufactured in factories that in turn cause some pollution.
3. Solar energy can be used in remote areas where it is too expensive to extend the electricity power grid.
4. Many everyday items such as calculators and other low power consuming devices can be powered by solar energy effectively.
5. It is estimated that the worlds oil reserves will last for 30 to 40 years. On the other hand, solar energy is infinite (forever).

Disadvantages:
1. Solar energy can only be harnessed when it is daytime and sunny.
2. Solar collectors, panels and cells are relatively expensive to manufacture although prices are falling rapidly.
3. Solar power stations can be built but they do not match the power output of similar sized conventional power stations. They are also very expensive.
4. In countries such as the UK, the unreliable climate means that solar energy is also unreliable as a source of energy. Cloudy skies reduce its effectiveness.
5. Large areas of land are required to capture the suns energy. Collectors are usually arranged together especially when electricity is to be produced and used in the same location.
6. Solar power is used to charge batteries so that solar powered devices can be used at night. However, the batteries are large and heavy and need storage space. They also need replacing from time to time.

A disadvantage is hazardous waste getting disposed of improperly. And a good thing is that it dose not use water to generate, so this water is saved.

The advantages are that there all reusable, a disadvantage is that its cost a lot of money. One disadvantage with renewable energy is that it is difficult to generate the quantities of electricity that are as large as those produced by traditional fossil fuel generators. This may mean that we need to reduce the amount of energy we use or simply build more energy facilities. It also indicates that the best solution to our energy problems may be to have a balance of many different power sources.

An advantage is that solar energy is renewable.
A disadvantage is that we can only get solar energy in the daytime when it is sunny out.

An advantage of using solar power is that it's natural and it doesn't have harmful smoke or other chemical, it's not a good thing because it's very expensive.

Chris Payeur said...

Renewable sources does not pollute the air, but if you have a nuclear rods you will still have nuclear waste.

Lewin P said...

Well, they all cause less pollution, but wind energy causes lots of sound that is very annoying.

Anonymous said...

Renewable resources can be here forever and don't pollute and are also bad because a lot of them are very expensive plus not a lot of them

Disadvantage to solar energy is that it can only be harnessed when it is daytime and sunny.

Jacob Esty said...

They all will give us infinite energy and don't cause as much pollution. The problem is they are very expensive and aren't as easy to make power.

alex rex said...

solar power is better cause like wind is can stop and solar power is easy to get but i dont think the sun is going to die and go boom boom so solar power is the best

One advantage of wind power is that it does not waste non-renewable resources.

An advantage of wind energy is that it creates clean and effective way of creating power. A disadvantage of wind energy is that the wind turbines make a lot of noise.

Advantages:

Wind energy is friendly to the surrounding environment, as no fossil fuels are burnt to generate electricity from wind energy.
Wind turbines take up less space than the average power station. Windmills only have to occupy a few square meters for the base, this allows the land around the turbine to be used for many purposes, for example agriculture.
Newer technologies are making the extraction of wind energy much more efficient. The wind is free, and we are able to cash in on this free source of energy.
Wind turbines are a great resource to generate energy in remote locations, such as mountain communities and remote countryside. Wind turbines can be a range of different sizes in order to support varying population levels.
Another advantage of wind energy is that when combined with solar electricity, this energy source is great for developed and developing countries to provide a steady, reliable supply of electricity.
Disadvantages:

The main disadvantage regarding wind power is down to the winds unreliability factor. In many areas, the winds strength is too low to support a wind turbine or wind farm, and this is where the use of solar power or geothermal power could be great alternatives.
Wind turbines generally produce allot less electricity than the average fossil fuelled power station, requiring multiple wind turbines to be built in order to make an impact.
Wind turbine construction can be very expensive and costly to surrounding wildlife during the build process.
The noise pollution from commercial wind turbines is sometimes similar to a small jet engine. This is fine if you live miles away, where you will hardly notice the noise, but what if you live within a few hundred meters of a turbine? This is a major disadvantage.
Protests and/or petitions usually confront any proposed wind farm development. People feel the countryside should be left in tact for everyone to enjoy it’s beauty.

A advantage of solar energy is that you don't need to refill it with fuel.

But the disadvantage is that they cost a lot of $$MONEY$$

The advantage of wind energy is it doesn't use nonrenewable resources but it needs to be windy enough for the turbines to spin.

ocean water advantage is you have enough all the time the disadvantage is if it is too strong it could make there be too much power.

An advantage is the wind turbine because it creates nice clean way of making power. Disadvantage is that if there is no wind then it wont work and power wont be created.

Hydro Electric Energy Is Good because it Causes NO Pollution, But Can Only Be Used When the river the water is coming from is rushing. Solar Power is Good Because Your Causing 0 Pollution and Getting Energy from the ever burning Sun, But At Night you will have no power because the Sun isn't Showing. And wind is Good Because is Is natural but can only be used if the wind is moving, or fast.
