In general, a scientific law is the description of an observed phenomenon. It doesn't explain why the phenomenon exists or what causes it. The explanation of a phenomenon is called a scientific theory. It is a misconception that theories turn into laws with enough research.

a theory tries to predict the most logical explination.

LAW CAN'T BE BROKEN, BUT A THEROY CAN BE

The difference between a theory and a law is that theories can prove laws and facts true or false while a law is a logical relationship about at least 2 things based on multiple facts and proven hypothesis that is usually a mathematical statement about two quantities.

A law is a logical relationship between two or more things that are based on a variety of facts and proven hypothesis. A hypothesis is a tentative statement such as 'if A happens then B must happen.'

a law is proven by science while a theory is more of a question of what people think will happen.

The difference between a scientific law and a theory is a scientific law might predict the initial conditions and a theory just tries to find the most logical explanation.
