Why are sloth so slow? And what does this have to do with Natural Selection?

because leaves don't give off much protein and they don't digest very fast. they go slow to save energy.

Sloths move slowly to preserve energy because the plants they eat digest slowly and don't provide much energy for the sloths. Wish the giant sloths were still around today.
