What does it mean ?

Explain  following sentence in your own words. 
Schleiden, Schwann, and Virchow studied organisms that were prokaryotic and eukaryotic.

Prokaryotic cells do not have a true nucleus, and they don't have membrane-bound organelles. Eukaryotic cells are a lot more complex.
