What is affected?

What specific parts of the environment may be affected by climate change?

Environments with cold weather will be affected by climate change and global warming. The Polar Ice Caps are melting already, and leaving animals trapped or stranded. This also will set Earth's climate off, making some places warmer or colder than they usually are.

All of the different environments can be affected by climate change, for example, a forrest can be affected by climate change and make the forrest into a swamp. A desert into a snowy plain, an arctic into an ocean, an ocean into an arctic, or a lake into a big dry hole.

The artic maybe a part that is affected by climate change.

Some specific parts of the earth that I think might change due to the climate are the poles, the desert and the rainforests.

It would affect a cold area the most so south pole.

The south pole will be affected because it will melt. Also it would stop snowing in alot of places.

Cold climate places like antarctica may unfreeze and turn into water.

The North Pole can be affected, because if the temperature rises, the snow will melt.

Some animals that would be affected by this would be penguins and polar bears.

The Arctic and the desert.

Changes in climate may threaten these needs with increased temperatures, sea level rise, changes in precipitation, and more frequent or intense extreme events.

Climate change is a change in the statistical distribution of weather patterns when that change lasts for an extended period of time (i.e., decades to millions of years). Climate change may refer to a change in average weather conditions, or in the time variation of weather around longer-term average conditions (i.e., more or fewer extreme weather events).

The entire world would be affected by climate change cold places like the Arctic would melt wich would cause the ocean to rise. That would make all kinds of problems

The Artic might change the climate

The Artic might be affected by climate change because the snow and ice will melt.

The arttic will start to melt.

Tree's rrots may freeze and thaw too quickly, causing tragic death.

Alaska may be affected by the climate change because of there snow glaciers and stuff in the mountains and in the snow part of Alaska. Snow may be falling and melting because of global warming and other causes.

The south pole will be affected from climate change because it will melt making all kinds of problems.

The Arctic places would be affected a lot, if the climate there changed. For Example, if it got warmer then the snow would melt, and since some polar places are just giant icebergs in the ocean, if it melted, animal life would die if it didn't know how to swim. Such as Arctic Foxes, I don't think that they swim. But Polar Bears would be okay as long as they got to another iceberg soon, before it got too tired and drowned. That is why Climate change could affect the Arctic to extreme measures.

Plants can be affected because it would be to hot for them and they might not get much rain and moister.

Climate is an important environmental influence on ecosystems. Climate changes and the impacts of climate change affect ecosystems in a variety of ways. For instance, warming could force species to migrate to higher latitudes or higher elevations where temperatures are more conducive to their survival. Similarly, as sea level rises, saltwater intrusion into a freshwater system may force some key species to relocate or die, thus removing predators or prey that were critical in the existing food chain.

In Conclusion, some animal life would die, and some Arctic places would just become part of the ocean.

Well climate change could be cold or hot so it could have many effects it could freeze the ponds and rivers, or it could melt the Arctic ice.

Josh Y said...

Florida would be affected because if it gets hot and the ice melts and the Florida region would get floods and the people would drown like a fish who couldn't swim.

Well when we spray airesol it disruptes atmosphere and it made a BIG whole in the atmosphere so the CFC canceled ariesol in the 90's to hopefully close the hole it did but Carbon made the atmosphere bigger and making the green house gasses not be able to escape and it went to the Arctic and is now melting it.

R.E.M said...

It starts with a drout in all of Texas because of the thick atmosphere trapping all the greenhouse gases caused by carbon.

Pollution and the orbit of the Earth have major parts in climate change.

Up north will be wormer and get less snow and that is bad.

Hannah M said...

Pollution could get worse.

the area of the north pole will change because of the heat

As a society, we have structured our day-to-day lives around historical and current climate conditions. We are accustomed to a normal range of conditions and may be sensitive to extremes that fall outside of this range.

Climate change could affect our society through impacts on a number of different social, cultural, and natural resources. For example, climate change could affect human health, infrastructure, and transportation systems, as well as energy, food, and water supplies.

Leah LaFrance said...

Most living things are all effected by the climate changes. The Coldest places and the warmest places have lots of effects also. Animals and plants have a climate effect to. The Arctic and the rivers and lakes have effects also.

A specific parts of the environment that may be affected by climate change are frozen areas like antarctica. It could be affected if the climate becomes warm, all the snow and ice could melt and it could just become an ocean.

Antartica can be affected because the ice and snow can be melted.

Anthony B said...

It would become a continent.

Antarctica's ice bergs will start to melt.

The North Pole could be affected, the snow and ice could melt from the warmth of the sun.

The Arctic Will be affected, Because Waters are Warming up... The Arctic Will Melt!

Logan H. said...

Climate change can effect the water, if it heats up, it will evaporate more quickly. If it was cold, it could freeze the water. And, if it is hot out, and you spilled some gasoline, it could catch on fire.
