convection currents in Earth's mantle to the movement of Earth's tectonic plates. The upward current in a convection cell cycle is associated with divergent plate boundaries, as heated magma rises and spreads out beneath the lithospheric plates.

because hot rock rises

Convection currents are related to plate tectonics because the volcanic vents are on the splits of the plates. The convection currents carry magma to the surface of the Earth.

Convection currents and tectonic plates are related because heat from the convection currents can rise out of a tectonic plate boundary.

Convection currents is the heating rising cooling process and if the crust and part of the upper mantle wasn't divided into sections the hot liquid couldn't rise .

Because convection currents is the heating rising cooling process and if the crust and part of the upper mantle wasn't divided into sections the heated material couldn't rise up.

The plates move than heats up then it makes the volcano erupt.

I believe that the currents are related to the plates by there actions, they move the ground and change the plates positions.

Heat make the rocks heat up then the volcano explodes.

The magma rises which is pushing the tectonic plates apart.

Convection currant is what makes the tectonic plates move and shift

Cordelia R said...

Convection Currents and Tectonic plates related because the plates move, become heated and melted into magma and then released from a volcano.

When tectonic plates move they create tunnels big enough to send lava to the surface.

Heat makes the rock heat up.

I got this from Hannah.

Convection current is the cycle of the movement beneath the earth, such as tectonic plates and them moving.

Convection currents relate to plate tectonics because when the hot rock rises new oceanic crust is made causing the tectonic plates to move.

Convection current relates plate tectonics because convection current pushes up on the plates and creates seafloor spreading. Also if one plate goes underneath the other plate it creates a volcano.
