Which Force is it?

You may have notice animal tracks in the sand but have you ever noticed boulder tracks? If you ever go to the racetrack  in Death Valley this is exactly what you will see. Rocks at the race track seem to move without any help at all.
1. No one has ever seen a rock move at the racetrack. What evidence do you have that these rocks are moving without human interference?
2. Develop and post a theory explains the mysterious movements at the race track.

/Users/20-l-forrest/Desktop/Unknown.jpeg Here is a picture that explains my theory. I know that the Earth is round, so over this large plain, there is some roundness. The rocks are each perched at the center of gravity, not sure which way to roll. I think the sunlight effects the rocks. The sunlight drys the rocks, and maybe the rocks need moisture, so they are going away from the sunlight.

1.The rocks have trials so if there was human interference there would be foot prints
2. the wind is pushing the rocks

What happens is is water or ice goes into the cracks and it becomes very slippery and the rocks over time start to move , they move very slow but it happens.it was proven by a biologist when he set up a camera and watch it happen . he put it into a time-lapse.

What I believe happens is wind gusts push the rocks over night or maybe, some nocturnal animal is pushing the rocks to a shelter.

I think that it rains and the ground becomes slippery then it gets windy so the rocks move.

No one no's.

1. The evidene that I have that rocks move by themselves without any human interference is because of rockslides or rockfalls.
2.How the mysterious movement of rock at the racetrack happens is because of rockfalls and wind will push everything from its starting point to somewhere completely different.

I think that the rocks move from wind erosion.

It is because of erosion that moves the rocks.

Olivia M said...

I think that wind moved the rocks because the wind is a very strong force.

When the rocks get wet they move.

The wind pushes the rocks. When the rocks get wet they move.

and when the wind pushes the small rocks around

alexisb said...

wind pushes the rocks too

I can tell because there is no traces of footprints and I think that gravity makes them move or maybe iron is pulling it tords a magnetic force.

I think that gravity is making the rocks move. Gravity is slowly pulling rocks toward the center of the Earth, so I think that is what is happening.

Lexi Harmon said...

I think that wind and erosion move the rock around.

Anonymous said...

The wind probally moves them just so little that you cant notice that much.

Paige M. said...

Rocks are moving due to Earthquakes or windstorms.

Jakob P said...

I think when it rains or when it snows the rocks moves when it gets wet or when the now melts it pushes the rock with the ice/water. Or animals take the rocks or moves them.

I think gravity and wind is pushing the rocks across the dessert.

the worms do it

I think that The rocks moved because wind

Brooke D said...

The evidence that theres no footprints or any sign of human, they are probably moving by wind. Like the wind was blowing constantly and eventually once the wind gets strong enough then they eventually move.

Jack B said...

I think that it might be gravity and maybe wind but not water because there is no water in the dessert.

Kiara M said...

I think that its the wind moving them a little at a time so you don't notice it.

Jacob Varney said...

I think its strong wind moving them slowly through out the day and over night.

haley marsico said...

There are no people moving the rocks, the rocks might have been moved by the wind, or glaciers.

Cordelia R said...

1-The evidence of no human interaction because there are no footprints or showing of how someone/something moving them.

2-The movement is caused by large, strong gusts of wind.

Alicia said...

There was no human intor fierce bemuses they is no foot prints and this is prBLY creep.

I think that the wind and gravity have something to do with it. AND SO DO THE ALIENS!!!!

Chris P said...

There is no man made evidence it just must be the wind.

Wayne Twombly. said...

I know is that the wind pushes it and other people think that it's people freaking other people so they move it and make those lines and claiming it ghosts but mostly wind.

dArReN said...

wind and gravity work togeter to move the rocks over a long period of time

The rock moves because of maybe wind or gravity some people believe it could be aliens.

It is winter that when the water rises from the ground and then the wind blows causing the rocks to move in an unusual pattern

Ian R. said...

The evidence that the move is the trails of sand. I think they move by the wind pushing them.

Richie P. said...

ditto

Sameena F. said...

The evidence that I have that rocks move without any human interaction is by the wind pushing the rocks over a period of time, causing them to be put into a different place then where they were before.

yeah fanze

Aidan Farris said...

It is rockslides.

Anonymous said...

do you now

Lewin P said...

Although, no one has ever seen the rocks move, but there are many ways they could. Including sand storms, dust storms, and wind.

Richie P. said...

I would guess its a magnet, or maybe its on a slope, or... maybe its just rolling

DYLAN N said...

The answer to this is rockslides.

Lewin P said...

no but

Nate P said...

wind and gravity would move them

Anonymous said...

I think wind pushes rocks along.

jacob esty said...

the wind and gravity and storms is making them move.

DYLAN N said...

By gravity

Lewin P said...

No BUT

Isaiah w said...

This process is called rockslide. I think it caused by gravity.

Anthony B said...

My theory about rocks moving at the racetrack in Death Valley is that there are some sort of animals that are burrowing under the rock, making the top layer of soil into sediment and making the rocks roll on them and as the rock does so it smoothes the sediment back into the soil making a trail.

Richie P. said...

And by magnet i mean magnetized by something or... WELL U KNOW WHAT I MEAN!!!

Nadia McElroy said...

I think its on a slope on rock slide because of a gravity.

I think that they are moving because an animal might be burrowing and moving the rocks at Death Valley. Also I think it is caused by gravity.

because GOD created everything and created rockslide and gravity to move rocks.

i think that wind, gravity and rockslides

Kayla H said...

I think its the wind and it makes the rocks move super slow sow we can't see them.

david r said...

Number 1 The rocks are moving because either the ground is slanted or the wind is moving them.

Number 2 The wind is moving them

Zeke Sturgeon said...

The trail behind the rock is probably a big give away its called rockslide

Lauren Mooney said...

When the rocks moves all by itself it is called rockslide. nobody have ever seen this happen, so that means nobody could ever do it. Also there are no footprints around the slid area.

Antwan M said...

I Think Either the Plates/Ground under the Rock move, Extremely Slow, or The Wind Slowly Moves the Rock so We cant See it.

Mysterious, eh?

Gianna M said...

No one has ever seen the rocks move so that means that a human could not have moved it. It could've happened by dust storms wind storms or and thing else. The wind might have just moved them, or gravity.

Logan H. said...

1. The rocks don't get helped by humans because there is no human remains there, like tracks.
2. I have a theory. I think since the ground is no hard and cracked, the cracks sometimes break under the rocks, letting the rock move. this happens over a few years, because all of the cracks have to break thus slanting the rock's position.

Nicole Printy said...

The rocks were in a rockslide OR they fell off a cliff and slid OR the wind blew them.

It could have been water if it wasn't a desert but since it is a desert its either wind or gravity.

kobe d said...

with the trails you know that they are moving, i think the wind moves the rock.

I think that they wind, water and gravity cause it. Most likely wind in my opinion
