In 1960, there was an Earthquake in Chile that was a measured as a 9.5.

Meteor impacts are a very destructive force caused by space rock going into Earths orbit. When a volcano erupts the lava spews out and the destroys everything in its path and then the lava slows down when it starts hardening. Earthquakes are caused by tectonic plates rubbing together from heat under the Earth.

I found that earthquakes are caused by an explosion of energy in between the tectonic plates causing them to shift and rumble the ground.

I found out that earth quakes are just tectonic plates shifting. I also learned that in some cases the ash from volcanoes can mummify people, an example of this was the volcanic explosion in pompeii.

One cool thing I found out is that volcanoes can actually help the earth! For example, volcanic ash contains minerals that help the soil.
