one of the erosion forces is land slides, when a landslide occurs, large piles of sediment and rock move downhill causing a hill or mountain to get steeper depending on how much land slid.this would be a force of erosion. at the grand canyon you might see land slides and at mount washington you might see mass movement which is any type of erosion that happens due to gravity.

The erosional forces at work at the grand canyone are mostly water and probably some wind,the forces at work on mount washington is all wind, the types of erosional forces you might see are mass movments.
I believe that they have rock slides in common. The other erosional force i think they share in common is glaciers. The entire world was covered in glaciers in the last ice age. They probably carved both of them.
there is probably some ice wedging going in both places and some dropping sediments , because of the big slopes on the moutain and the ice wedging and the gravitational pull the "sediments" will fall and usually create an avalanche.

In the first picture water is eroding the canyon. In the second picture wind and ice wedging are wearing down the mountain. Both have a form of water helping wear them down. But other than that they are using separate forces. At the grand canyon you might see slump or creep toward the river. And on occasion you might see a mass movement like a rock slide into the river. At Mount Washington you will see avalanches, creep downhill, and rocks falling from ice wedging.

I know that the grand canyon was carved by the Colorado river. Both are being eroded by water. Mt. Washington probably has ice wedging. There is probably extreme wind erosion on Mt. Washington. (Weren't the fastest ever winds recorded there?)

The types of erosion and weathering on both MT. Washington and the Grand Canyon are different because of the different types of climate. Like on Mt. Washington, there might be more ice wedging then in the Grand Canyon.

1) The grand canyon's Colorado river is a force of erosion. The water has slowly carved through rock face to from the canyon. Also, I think that the canyon would be a "funnel" for wind, possibly getting high wind speed.
2) Until recently, Mount Washington had the word record for top wind speed. Wind comes across the country and over Mt. Washington. There are also two lakes near a small hut for hikers to stay at near the summit. There are several waterfalls and rivers coming off of the lake.
3) Mount Washington and The Grand Canyon both have wind and water erosion.
