Imagine you are in the future. An asteroid is coming toward Earth. You and your team get on space ships. The spaceship is equipment that can destroy half the asteroid. The asteroid has a mass of 20000 kg and a speed of 25,000 meters per second. What is the force of the asteroid before and after half is destroyed? Why is the force less after half is gone?
Would an asteroid this size survive entering the Earth's atmosphere?
