Well for the marbles they could go in different directions or go in the same direction but other than marbles there are things like planets that could go towards each other but they won't just bounce off they would combine like asteroids hitting the Earth. The asteroids didn't just bounce off.

When two objects collide they can either stick together or bounce off each other.
