Give an example of something that could display some characteristics of life, but is not alive. Please explain your answer. Check out video below to get some ideas.

A car can show characteristics because it moves, but it is not alive.
The things that grow in water and numbers grow but they don't need anything to grow just. Dead leaves are something that once was alive but isn't anymore it stopped doing most things besides using cells
I river isn't alive but it shows the characteristics of life of being able to grow & develop, respond to their environment, and change & evolve over time. It grows & develops by getting higher, lower, wider, longer, or shorter. It can change & evolve by it's characteristics and life that can be supported in/by it change and/or evolve. It can respond to its environment if the course that it follows is changed then it will change to follow that new course. -Kaiden Tillman
