Bungee Jumping
Zander wants to build a bungee jumping tower in his back yard. He wants the ride to last at least 5 seconds. Town code says he may not build a tower more than 50 meters. Gabe said the tower would need to be more than 50 meters to get a five second ride. Dom disagrees he states that the rate of fall is just 9.8m/s 2 due to gravity, therefore the tower would only need to be 49 meters tall. Who is correct Dom or Gabe? Would Zander be allowed to build his five second bungee jump?

nope he couldn't make it legally. The cord needs to be at least 125 meters long.

If the cord is 125 meters long it will be within 5 seconds but if it is shorter he will go down quicker although if the cord is to short he could be stuck and same if it is to long.
overall Dom is right and Zander can build the bungee jumper.
