Two people start at the same starting point and end at the same end point. One traveled a distance twice as far as the other. Explain how this is possible using the terms distance and displacement.
Person 1 went a different route than person 2 that led directly to the place where they wanted to go without anything in the way, leading to them having a much shorter time than person2, who went a longer way around, so even though they had the same displacement, they had a much different distance.
one toke the π£and the faster one toke the π² !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
One person traveled a longer distance because he took the road, but the other cut through everything. The distances is way different, but they ended up in the same spot
This is possible because displacement went diagonal so it went faster and distance went on the road so he had to follow the road so that is why it took longer for distance.

He went back.
One dude went twice as far but the displacement is the same
He went the same way but then took a different route to get back and the displacement is at zero because it went from one point to another than back.

the person that traveled twice as much whant back and forth
the displacement is the same.
One person went twice as far but the displacement is the same.
One person went twice as far, but the displacement is the same as before.
One person went twice as far, but the displacement is the same for both people.
Person 1 took the shortest route to get to point B and person 2 went to the same place but took a different route
One person went twice as far, when the displacement is the same for both people.
one person went twice as far but they still had the same displacement

Someone went twice as far. The displacement is the same.

lol
He went a longer way.
"GABE HOCKEY HARRIS" learn how to spell!
he went a longer way
It is possible because one person took the long way, distance, and one took the short way, displacement.
he went the longer way
The person that traveled the for more time traveled a further distances then the one that took less time
The distance is is how far one has traveled and displacement is how far it is without counting travel time.
He went a different way and went faster than the other guy
This is possible because displacement went diagonal so it went faster and distance went on the road so he had to follow the road so that is why it took longer for distance.
