Cons: Decreased Antibiotic Efficacy. (whatever that means)
Pros: Environmental Protection.
Cons: Gene Transfer
Pros: More Nutritious Foods.

Some GMO foods have been modified to make them more resistant to insect pests. The University of California in San Diego reports that a toxic bacterium can be added to crops to make them insect repellent, yet safe for human use. This can reduce the amount of pesticide chemicals used on the plants, thus potentially reducing exposure to pesticides.

Seeds are genetically changed for multiple reasons, which include improving resistance to insects and generating healthier crops, according to Healthline.com. This can lower risk of crop failure, and make crops better resistant to extreme weather.

People might want the modified product because it has more resources yet it's cheaper.
If you buy the organic, even though it's more pricey, you have a lesser chance of getting hurt from chemicals.

One advantage of GMO's would be they could help with insect resistance in plants. Another benefit of GMO's would be stronger crops. Another benefit would be a larger production of crops.

Agriculture plants are one of the most frequently cited examples of genetically modified organisms {GMOs}.Some benefits of genetic engineering in agriculture are increased crop yields, reduced cost for food and or drug production.

GMOs are good for many reasons. One of those reasons is GMO foods can be more delicious. Source: https://www.healthline.com/health/gmos-pros-and-cons

People use GMOs for food because crops could be under siege by bugs. For instance you are a farmer and you grow tomato's, beetles start eating your tomato's, you spray your tomato's that are used for keeping bugs from eating plants, this spray is fairly costly. Then a company who's owner has gone through the same thing your going through created a tomato plant that has the spray inside it so the beetles don't eat it.

We get to save on land. Think about it: You need less land to produce the same amount of food.

Some advantages from GMO'S are that they are cheaper to make so that means less expenses foods.

Some people might think that gmo's are better because the people creating the product do not need to spray pesticides on their product.

GMO's can actually be better than the original. for example, beetles like tomatoes. if the farmer sprays pesticides, then the bugs go away, but then sometimes the plant is dangerous to humans depending on the type of pesticide. but if theres a genetically modified plant, then the bugs dont like that, so they leave the plant alone. the advantages are that the bugs leave the plant alone, and the people get a nice, bug-free tomato. :)

GMO could stop bugs from eating the plants. It could also change the taste of the food.

Using GMOs can cause the killing of other plants or the plant itself.

Some people believe that GMO's can cause harm to the environment and to people, even though it possibley could, the risks of that happening are very low while the positive impact it does helping. Instead of using pesticides people do Genetic engineering, trans genetics, breeding and many more things to modify crops, plants or medicine to help people or plants survive. Most people just assume the plants and crops have been changed for the better while others protest against modification of plants. Some good reasons behind Gmo's are that people also add to crops to make them better in ways, like tomatoes, corn, wheat, or golden rice. Scientist added a gene from a fish to a tomato and it keeps it from freezing. They also genetically modified rice creating golden rice which the nutritional value is less than 10% of the daily vitamin A requirement, helping country's in which 500 thousand children go blind every year due to lack of vitamin A, and 1-2 million deaths a year due to lack of vitamin A efficiency. Medicine such as Remicade, Epo, Avastin, Insulin, Humira, tPA, and Neulasta are modified with GMO's, genetic engineering and such to help people. The greater help in using GMO's is that it can reduce the need of using pesticides, it has medical benefits in helping everyone whether its a new vaccine or provides cheaper ways for familys to get the vaccine, some animals have also been genetically engineered such as cows to be less likely to get mad cow disease, and many more. So my conclusion is that people would want to use GMO's to help people, animals, and to further study about genetic engineering so we can create a world with less conflict https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GKm2Ch3-Myg ce.linedict.com/dict.html#/cnen/entry/91c82f6af02548cfa8dcd6b642864135
