They are used to show how dangerous the natural disaster is.

Richter scale (seismograph) Fujita scale and the sapphire simpson scale .(Both measured by damage cased and wind speed.)

The Saffir-simpson scale rates the danger level and what it could cause.

Some tools and rating systems used to measure the damage of natural disasters are seismographs, richter scale, Fujita scale, and saffir simpson scale. Seismograph goes with earthquake, a Fujita scale goes with a tornado, and a saffir simpson scale goes with hurricanes.

Some of the tools used to measure a natural disaster is a a seismograph for an earthquake. A barometer to measure tornados. Lastly a wind scale measures a hurricane

The Fujita scale, the Saffir- Simpson scale, and the Richter scale measure the severity of some natural disaster. The Fujita scale measures tornados, the Saffir- Simpson scale measures hurricanes, and the Richter scale measures earthquakes. Seismographs are used for earthquakes.

Some tools that can measure natural disasters for an earthquake the scale is called seismograph. For a tornado the scale is called barometer. Lastly for a hurricane the scale is called a wind scale.

One way to measure a natural disaster is a a seismograph for an earthquake, a barometer to measure tornados, and also a wind scale measures a hurricane

To measure a tornado and rate it on the Fujita scale, scientists use the Dopler Radar, and the anemometer (wind speed).

Tsunamis are measured by their run up,which is the difference between an observed sea level and the distance the tsunami waters reach on shore. This is generally measured once the danger has passed, so debris and destruction of plant life are often used as gauges of run up
