If you use genetic engineering on a plant such as a banana, it could poison it. The main question/fear is: 'Is food that is genetically engineered harmful to our body or our health?'
Some reasons people wouldn't want Genetic Engineering Is because if they cross a tree seed with a sunflower seed then you can get Very tall sunflower. Then their would be more Of those and we would lose the regular sunflower.
People may not want genetic engineering in medicine and agriculture because they might have an allergic reaction or their phenotype will change drastically because of genes mutating and being polluted. Genetic Engineering may in the future damage the environment(s) we live in.

I personally don't like gene modification because honestly, it creeps me out that they can do that. Things like changing my GENES or even being put on laughing gas creeps me out. I don't know. I think I might have a fear for modern medicine.
