Genetic engineering has the ability to increase the genetic diversity as well as produce variant alleles that can be implanted to other species. It is also possible to change the heredity of the wheat plants and grow insulin.

Genetic engineering referrs to the practice of adding new DNA to living things in order to create traits that would have not naturally existed. It has gotten much attention lately, this is because there are people that believe you should not interfere with what naturally happens in nature. Genetic engineering has many benefits, but some drawbacks too.

GE has advantages because it means that it makes something better then before. GE helped make wolfs in to the man's best friend which is dogs.

One thing is when you are transporting food from across country. It helps it not rot when it is going from one place to another.

It helps pests and diseases stay away from plants, so this helps farmers produce more of it resulting in more food. Another advantage is because we get more food without pests destroying them, we can feed more people, and possibly even bring down the price, since there is so much of the plants.

The upsides( there are downsides to) of Genetic Engineering is that they defy MOST dieses and kill of bacteria infections and can help keep hunger away.
