The human genome project mapped all the genes in humans. Your personal genome could tell a great deal about you. Would you like to know as much as you could about your genes and what that meant for your future? Are there things you would not want to know? Could there be problems if other people had access to the information in your genome?

Something that I definitely want to know if I will end up with a heart disease or when I will die but not how because if I die of old age I want it to be a surprise to me.
I would not want to know everything about my genes and what that means for my future...I wouldn't want to know anything because many social, legal, and ethical problems could pop up because the fact that people can have access to the information in my genome. Many people would not get hired for a job because they would get sick later in life or insurance companies may drop you from their security because of the fact that they know your information.

I would not want to know because if I find out that I am going to get cancer when i'm older I would be depressed and I wouldn't want to live like that.

I would want to know, because if I had a history of diabetes in my family, then I would know to be careful of eating too much sugar. It could be bad if others knew it, because say someone wanted to kill me and they knew I was deathly allergic to orange juice, they could poor orange juice on my pancakes and deathly poison me and kill me, wiping me off of the face of earth. Then I would be dead, and they would have succeeded in murdering me, and we can't have that, can we now?

I don't wait to know my future because then there is nothing to live for u already know what is going to happen so i would like to keep things a secret.

It could be good and bad. It can be kind of depressing if you know when you are gonna develop cancer, but it can be good because you could prevent that stuff. It wouldn't be good if people could see.

I wouldn't like to know when I'm going to die.. Or what sicknesses i might get, sure.. I could know that I'm going to get.. Let's say.. Cancer! I couldn't live with the stress knowing the day I will die. I'd also dislike it if others could see my info. They might use it against me and life would just be horrible.
Though, the pros of it that you could find a cure for cancer and other horrible illnesses before they develop, helping cure millions.

I would like to know a lot about my Genes there are stuff I would not want too know like if I could get cancer or another bad illness or something even worse. There could be a lot of problems if people knew they would know what kinds of medication I need or find too much about me I would not feel comfortable
