A scene that would show a person's reaction to a stimulus would be if their dog ran away, they could hear the dog running (sensory) and they would want to run to catch the dog (inter) and then the person would run to catch the dog (motor)

Say if a bull was coming towards you. You at least have about a few seconds to think. Fight or Flight kicks in which involves the sensory neuron which means you see that person or thing coming towards. Your reflexes are going to help toy which is part of the inter neuron. Then the final is the motor neuron which makes you move. So you decide to move and the bull is no longer chasing you.

When your home alone and you hear a loud noise it may scare you. You nock over you flower in the middle of the table. That is your motor at work moving your arms from fright and knocking the flower down on the floor. You then see and hear your cat running down the stairs. That is your Sensory at work. Then you realize that it was your cat running around in your sisters room, because its a mess (more then it already is ;). That is your Inter at work, because you thought out what was the most possible thing that could cause that noise.

A scene. Ready? It's a true story. (kinda.)

You're sitting in your livingroom, watching an episode of Spongebob. I hear the spongebob talking. BOOM! The power goes out. Panic sets in, your vision fades as all the lights in the house flicker and turn off... Along with Spongebob. You start to scream, seeing nothing and hearing nothing. You're home alone. You flung open your front door and walk to the middle of your yard, the rain and wind blowing around you. You fall to your knees, tears pouring from your eyes.

That was.. Your favorite episode.. And you're going to miss it.

RIP.

You're sitting on the couch, completely absorbed in the show you are watching. Suddenly, your sister grabs your arm and screams. Your first sense would be to jump, or flinch, triggered by your sensory nerves. You would hear the scream which would also trigger you to flinch. Maybe you bit your tongue in the process, and taste blood. You would see a sudden flash of movement, and perhaps even smell the blood that came when you bit your tongue.

Anonymous said...

Say that your arm gets sting by a bee. Your sensory neurons will tell your brain that you are being stung! Your interneurons will tell your muscles to either jump in pain or quickly brush the bee off. You will also feel pain from the blade.

You're sitting in French class, trying to focus while someone is screaming at the teacher. Then, you hear the kid, one of your classmates, say, "The next person to laugh gets the chair!". You look up. Standing right above you is the kid, holding a chair over his head. (This was all sensory, by the way) You start to inch away from where the kid is standing to guarantee you don't get hit. (Interneurons & motor neurons) Then, the teacher instructs the class to leave, because it is no longer safe. You're glad that you didn't get hit, and life continues on.

Then the shark comes and tries to bite your hand. Your sensory will make you jump of the board and swim back to shore.
