When was the precambrian era? Why do we know so much less about this large expanse of Earth's history than other eras?

Source: International Commission on Stratigraphy (ICS)period of time that extends from about 4.6 billion years ago (the point at which Earth began to form) to the beginning of the Cambrian Period, 541 million years ago. The Precambrian represents more than 80 percent of the total geologic record.
I think the precambrian era was 541 million years ago. I don't really know but I think that it has to do with us not studying that era. Like I said I might get this wrong.
We know a lot less about the Precambrian Era because there wasn't as much life on the planet like the other Eras. The Precambrian Era was the first time in Earth's History,it was the start of something new.
The Precambrian Era took place about 4,600 million years ago to 570 million years ago, and we know so much less about this large expanse of Earth's history than other eras because it was too long ago where many of the fossils of plants and animals have been destroyed we cannot come to any conclusions because of that reason.
The Precambrian Era. The name means: "before the Cambrian period." This old, but still common term was originally used to refer to the whole period of earth's history before the formation of the oldest rocks with recognizable fossils in them. In the last few decades, however, geologists have found that there are some hard-to-discern fossils in some Precambrian rocks, so this period is now also known as the Cryptozoic or "obscure life" Eon (from the words "crypt" = "hidden," and "zoon" = "life"). The Precambrian Era comprises all of geologic time prior to 600 million years ago. The Precambrian was originally defined as the era that predated the emergence of life in the Cambrian Period. It is now known, however, that life on Earth began by the early Archean and that fossilized organisms became more and more abundant throughout Precambrian time. The two major subdivisions of the last part of the Precambrian are the Archean (oldest) and the Proterozoic. Rocks younger than 600 Ma are considered part of the Phanerozoic.
Precambrian time covers the vast bulk of the Earth's history, starting with the planet's creation about 4.5 billion years ago and ending with the emergence of complex, multicelled life-forms almost four billion years later.
The Precambrian covers almost 90% of the entire history of the Earth. It has been divided into three eras: the Hadean, the Archean and the Proterozoic. The Precambrian Era comprises all of geologic time prior to 600 million years ago.

The precambrian era was a time where life was formed and the earth was BRUTALLY SMASHED TO BITS BY METORS. Later the earth formed and life became well life.
we know about the large expanse less than the other eras because there was not much evidence that they lived and it was a very long time ago and no humans were around.
The Precambrian Era was the first four billion years of Earth's history. It makes up 88% of Earth's history. Rock from this era has undergone many changes, as it is quite old.

google
Because you haven't told us about it.
it was 4.6 billion years ago and we dont know a lot because it was so long ago.
I DONT KNOW you have'nt taught us about this stuff
4.6 billion years ago
We Know a lot less About the Precambrian era because we have a lot less fossils from that time then we do in All the other eras.
it was 4.6 billion years ago and we dont know a lot because it was so long ago.
The Precambrian era occurred about 4.6 billion years ago.
We don't know much about it because we haven't learned about it yet.

The Precambrian era was 4.6 billion years ago which is when the Earth began to form.

Precambrian era was 600 million years ago.
The Precambrian Era was 4.6 billion years ago. We don't know a lot about it, because theres no evidence or rocks or fossils to show us.
4.6 million years ago and we don't know much about it because well I don't really know why thats why im in school.

Because there isn't a whole ton of evidence left.

It was 4.6 billion years ago
There is not enough evidence.
about 4.6 billion years ago The earliest living organisms were microscopic bacteria

about 4.65 billion years ago
you havnt told us
we know about the Precambrian era so much because it covers over 90% of the earths history than all the others.
a very long time ago
(4.65 billion to be exact)
The Precambrian era was about 4.6 million years ago. We don't know much about it because there weren't many fossils from that time.

We don;t know much about it, it was long ago.
You havent told us yet so i dont know!!!!!!! FREAK OUT
The Precambrian era was about 4.6 million years ago. We don't know much about it because there weren't many fossils from that time.
i don't know your the teacher
The Precambrian era happened 4.65 billion years ago. We don't know much about this era because, there wasn't that much alive in that era.

before the cambrin There was no life
The precambrian era was about 4.6 billion years ago
We don't know much about it because we haven't learned about it yet.
It was 4.6 billion years ago.
we don't know too much about it because it was so long ago that it is hard to collect info about it.
puppy monkey babies
It was 4.6 million years ago. We don't know much about it because it was so long ago.
4.6 million years ago and we don't know much about it
it was a long time ago so we know nothing
about 4.6 billion years ago we dont know because it was along time ago

I DONT KNOW
About 4.6 billion years ago
there no animals
About 4.5 billion years ago the Earth and Moon was formed. This was when the precambrian era started.
