coal is formed by plants and oil is formed by plankton.

Coal is formed by going through a process and it takes millions of years to form. Oil is formed by dead plankton that has been decaying for millions of years to. They both take awhile to form but they are two different fossil fuels.

Oil is formed from by dead plankton, and coal is formed from dead plant matter. They are different by how they are formed; they are similar in the way that they could both run out.

Coal is formed by plants and ferns that have died, sunk to the bottom of the swamp, and have been covered up by layers of water and dirt over millions of years. Oil is formed by plankton. They both take millions of years to form.

Coal is formed when old plants die and the matter of the plant is gets harder and turns into coal from heat and pressure. Oil is formed from dead plankton in ocean getting compact from heat and pressure and form into oil.

Coal is made up of dead plants and Oil is mad up of Plankton. And both coal and oil are fossil fuels and coal is a rock and oil is a liquid.

Coal is formed by dead plants in a swampy area.
Oil is formed with dead water plants and small water creatures .

there both have to be compressed

Oil is formed from small marine animals such as Plankton and Coal is formed from large forests compacted over millions of years. They are both Fossil Fuels and Oil is used for gas in cars and Coal is used for burning wood in a fire.

Both coal and oil are fossil fuels. That means they’re formed from organic matter – stuff that was alive on Earth millions of years ago – that was covered by heavy layers of rock

They are from fossil fuel and it takes for every to form.

Oil is formed when plankton and other marine life die, and fall to the ocean floor. From there, through heat and pressure they form oil and natural gas. Coal is formed when plants die and over a long period of time, they are compressed and turn into a rock-like substance called coal, that's why they are different. They are the same because they both take millions of years to form.

Oil is formed by all the dead plants and they fall to the sea floor.

Oil are formed from dead plants in the water, and coal is formed from dead plants in swampy areas. They are simiar because they are both fossil fuels and they are different because they aren't the same thing.

They are different because coal is formed by dead plants and oil is formed by plankton.

Oil is formed by plankton in the ocean. While coal is buried underground to harden.

oli is formed for old plants and is usually in a swampy area
coal is formed from old dead sea creatures (planction)

Coal is formed by dead plants that over time are compressed under earths surface. Oil is formed by dead algie and is also formed by being compressed by earths .

coal is from fossils and oil is from plankton

they are like spunges but they are made out if gas and oil

Oil is formed by plankton from years worth of forming from heat and presser. Coal is formed by plants and other specimens like that compressed under the earth. They are similar because they are both natural resources under the earth. They are different because coal is a solid and oil is a liquid.

Coal is formed by dead plants and oil is formed by dead plankton. They are similar because they are both made by dead organisms.

Coal is made from dead plants that have no oxygen there are under swaps are made and formed over a long period of time. Oil is made pretty much the same way. There both similar because they both are used to make house heated and go. There different because oil is liquid and coal is solid.

Oil is formed from plankton. Coal is formed from dead plants. The are different because, coal is solid, and oil is liquid. The are similar because, they have natural resources.

Oil is formed when plankton dies an d gets buried and and then they turn into oil

There both used to run electronics

Oil and Coal are made out of different things, but are formed the same! Oil is from dead plankton that is under the ground for millions of years, and coal is dead plants and swamp animals that are stuck under the ground!

Oil is formed by plankton and coal is formed by plants in swamps when the die. The difference between them are that plankton is usually in a large body of water and coal is formed in swamps. The similarities are that there both made in water.
