An interesting fact about photosynthesis is, some plants don't get energy from the sun. Some plants are actually carnivores, such as the venus fly trap. My question is does the venus fly trap use photosynthesis at all?

Photosynthesis happens in plants! TRUE STORY! I know most of you guys and girls didnt know that so I figured I'd post it :P

Griffin M. said...

Photosynthesis is affected by temperature, light intensity, light wavelength and carbon dioxide level.

And my question is too Wyatt/ King of The Minions. And it is does the Venus Fly Trap produce energy solemnly from the food it eats like us humans?

Katie N. said...

Photosynthesis is one of the most important chemical reactions that occurs in the plant, allowing plants to simultaneously create invaluable carbohydrates and produce oxygen that renews our atmosphere.

It happens to plants.

My question is hoe long dose it take for photosynthesis to occur? Also how come sone plants have spots of different colors?

Taylor J said...

All living things depend on the organic molecules synthesised by plants as a result of photosynthesis.

The energy for photosynthesis comes from light. What is the full process of photosynthesis?

Gareth B said...

The process mostly takes place in the chloroplasts of plant leaf mesophyll cells.

The energy for photosynthesis comes from light.

Light energy is converted to chemical energy by chlorophyll.

There are two sets of reactions, light dependent and light independent.

Photosynthesis is affected by temperature, light intensity, light wavelength and carbon dioxide level.

All living things depend on the organic molecules synthesised by plants as a result of photosynthesis.

Why is photosynthesis called photosynthesis? It sounds too fancy for a plant process.

Photosynthesis is the reason conifers and other pine trees grow in a cone shape. This shape allows more needles to be exposed to the sun, which enables the tree to grow taller.

I know that there are three types of sugars and plants make glucose but can some plants make fructose or sucrose? The obvious answer that I would think, is yes. Not sure if these were said-Thirty percent (30%) of the world’s oxygen is produced in the rainforest. One of the trees in Africa (the Tumbo Plant) has only two wide leaves but can live for over 1,000 years with little rain water.
