Pandas , Bamboo, and Cells

Pandas love to eat parts of bamboo trees, including shoots, leaves, and stems. What do the cells of the bamboo have in common with the cells of the panda? What are their differences?

They all have a nucleus, a chromatin, and cytoplasm. Plant cells, however, have a cell wall while animal cells don't. Plant cells also have the power to get energy from the sun, but animal cells don't.

The bamboo cells have a cell wall and uses photosynthesis. The bamboo and the panda both have cells in them. Those cells both contain a nucleus, cell membrane, mitochondria, golgi bodies, and cytoplasm, etc.

They both have a nucleus and unlike most animals, both have cellulose.

Although the giant panda has some efficient adaptations in its body to facilitate digesting bamboo, most of the bamboo’s energy is not available to it. The panda’s digestion of bamboo is almost suicidally inefficient. It is unable to digest cellulose and other structural carbohydrates in the bamboo’s cell wall, and with its short gut giving a low retention time to extract whatever nutrients are available from the plant’s cells. To compound the problem, the nutritional

The Ailuropoda melanoleuca (panda) has cellulose-degrading bacteria in its gut. That means that the panda can easily digest bamboo.

Their cells are also the same type so they most likely have the same organelles. Like a nucleus mitochondria stuff like that.

A giant panda eating bamboo
content of bamboo is not very high (see table). Therefore, the giant panda has to consume prodigious quantities of bamboo to meet its daily nutritional requirements.

The bamboo is actually a really skinny panda wearing green clothes, so they have everything in common.

They both have a plasma membrane, smooth and rough endoplasmic reticulum, a golgi body, mitochondrion, and a nucleus.

The panda and bamboo cells are mostly eukaryotic. Their differences is the plant cells have larger vacuoles and also have chloroplast- the green pigment in leaves that creates energy or glucose sugar.

SAME
Both animal and plant cells have some similar structural elements. First off they are both eukaryotic, which means they have a defined nucleus. This nucleus contains chromosomes, and it is protected and surrounded by the cytoplasm, which is a watery or gel-like liquid. Furthermore, both animal and plant cells have a cell membrane that surrounds the cell. This allows for the cell to exert control, in most cases, over what can penetrate the cell, and what cannot.
DIFFERENTS
Plant cells have a cell wall surrounding cell membrane,
whereas animal cells only have a cell membrane.
Plant cells have chloroplasts that help in photosynthesis.
These are absent in animal cells.
Animal cells have small vacuoles in comparison to plant
cells that have a large vacuole.
Plant cells are mostly regular in size and rectangular
in shape whereas animal cells vary greatly in size and shape.
