Please post two questions and answers from chapter 4 that I might use on the test. If you need help try pages 118, 119,120&121 in the text book.
Remember Post both the questions and the answer , minimum of two and going beyond is always encouraged.

1: if you put a hose over a car hood and let the water run out of the hose and let it hit the car and you will see an example of sheet erosion
2 what is water called when it does not go into the ground and does not evaporate
ANSWER surface water
1. a c shaped bend in a river
2. surface water
1~ Three types of rivers.
2~ Define Groundwater.
What is a widening bend in a river called. How many stages do rivers go through.
(meander,3)
1.) Describe the three different types of rivers.
2.) Pick three vocab words and define them.
1- show 2 examples of sheet erosion
2- define runoff, meander, and channel.
Q1. Name an old river.
A1. Mississippi, New River, Amazon, Nile, Ob, Danube, Rio Plata.
Q2. What is an artesian well?
A1. A well that naturally spews water up without pumps.
!- What are the three stages of a river?
2- What is a meander?
What are the three ages of rivers?
Answer: Young, Mature, and Old.
What is the name for water that is in the ground?
Answer: Surface Water.
(Q) How does ground water form?
(A) Ground water forms when it rains and the water collects up.
(Q) What is a meander?
(A) A meander is a curve or bend in a river.
(Q) What are the three ages of rivers?
(A) There is young, mature and old.
Q1. What is runoff?
A1. Water that does not seep into the rain or evaporate.
Q2. What are the three stages a river goes through?
A2. Young, Old, and Mature.
Q3. What is one of America's most famous geysers?
A3. Old Faithful.
1. What are three types of rivers.
A. Young,Mature, and Old
2.What is runoff?
Runoff is when there is too much water on a surface then it overflows a crack and makes a little river flooding something like land or crops.
1. Q: What are the three stages of streams?
A: Young, Mature, and Old
2. Q: What is a Meander?
A: A curved shape in a river where the outer bank is eroded more than the other.
1.Where does ground water lead to?
Answer: The ocean.
2.What are three types of streams?
Answer: Young, Mature, Old.
1) What is Runoff?
1A) Water that runs across the surface of the Earth.
2) What are the titles of the sections in Chapter four?
2A) Groundwater, Beaches, Surface Water
1. Q. What is a runoff.
A. A runoff is when the ground is full of water and it can't absorb anymore so the water just runs on top of the ground forming a puddle of some kind.
2. Q. What is the name of a broad c-shaped bend in a river.
A. A meander.
what is a rivers strongest age and what is its weakest stage? young and old.
why do people like white water rafting on young rivers better than old rivers? young rivers are faster.
how could beach erosion over time effect us and the next generations to come? it could erode away the beach then the water could destroy homes near the beach.
Q1. would water move faster on the outside of a meander or on the inside?
A it would move faster on the outside because all the water is being pushed tho the outside.
Q2. What is the difference between permiable and impermiable and which zone does it stay in?
A. The difference between permiable and impermiable is that in permiable rokc the pours are connected and in impermiable rock the pours arent connected. Water stays in permiable rock.
What is runnof.
What i ground water.
What are the three major types of erosion.
Q.Water runs downhill because of what?
A.Water runs downhill because of GRAVITY.
Q.What type of river has more meanders,an old river a mature river or a young river.
A.An old river
Q#1 What are three different types of rivers?
A#1 Old, young and mature.
Q#2 What is a widening bend(s) in a river called?
A#2 Meander.
Q: What is sheet erosion?
A: Sheet erosion is a type of surface water erosion caused by runoff that occurs when water carries sediments away.
Q: How does steepness on a hill effect groundwater and runoff?
A: The steepness of a slope or hill effects runoff because it has even less time on a steep hill or slope to soak into the ground, and on a flatter hill the groundwater has more time to soak into the ground, which means less runoff. But on a steeper hill or slope it has even less time to soak into the ground, therefor more runoff.
Define stream erosion.
How is beach sand created?
MULTIPLE CHOICE:
What is a layer of permeable rock that water flows through?
a: an aquifer b:a pore c: a water table d:impermeable
What are the two types of wells~ Artison and aqufiers
How is an old river different from a young river~ A young river flows rough and jagged, a old river has carved the land around it so that it flows smoothly.
Q1. Define runoff.
A1. Water that is on the ground but does not sink in and flows across the ground.
Q2. What are the three stages of a river?
A2. Young, mature, and old aged.
Q3. Who had the best PSLP and the best runoff presentation of all time?
A3. I DID!
1. Q. Why does water rise in an artesian well?
A. Pressure.
2. Q. Which term describes rock through which fluids flow through easily?
A. Permeable.
What is groundwater? groundwater is water that sinks in the ground.
Surface Water: Water that flows onto the Earths surface.
