Given the way groundwater collects in aquifers, how might pollution collect in aquifers? Do you think pollution would be easier or harder to remove from groundwater or from surface water?

pollution travels with the water and yes i do think that pollution will be harder to get out.
easier by surface water than ground water becuase the ground water you have to dig up and find. and probably quite a bit of pollution is in ground water.
If bad stuff get into the water and and goes into the ground and then you have to draw the water out and bad stuff out with a well. my dad does this stuff.
By traveling with the water into the ground or with a river or stream. I think that the water from i surface will be easier to get the pollution out because there is so many ways to help get rid of pollution in water.
it would collect the same way that water does, but pollution would travel in the water. the polluted water travels to the aquifers and fills with polluted water.
it would be harder because the surface water is easily gotten to, but it is hard to get ride of pollution that could be anywhere or everywhere.

how might pollution collect in aquifers? (when theres a flood it would get carried to the aquifers) Do you think pollution would be easier or harder to remove from groundwater or from surface water? i think it would be harder to get it from ground water and easier to get it from surface water.
I think that pollution can collect in aquifers by many ways. One is that it might rain and a factory can dump waste on the ground. Then getting soaked up and brought to the aquifer. It is harder to remove waste from the ground because its underground.
What could happen is, there might be waste in the water that soaked into it. I think it would be harder for them because if some of the water is polluted and it might mix with the uncontaminated water making it polluted as well.
Pollution gets to the aquifer by seeping through the dirt and permeable rock. I think pollution would be easier to get in surface water because surface water is more easily accesible to clean.
1.Pollution might collect in aquifers because the groundwater can pick up the pollution on the ground and in the earth and carry it to the aquifer where the groundwater collects.
2. It would be harder to remove pollution from groundwater because if it's under ground, it could be hard to get to it and clean it out.
3. It would be easier to clean the pollution out of surface water because you can access the water easier and clean the pollution out of it .
If oil is dumped into the rivers and streams near the aquifers it would be collected into them and then the pollution would go into the groundwater that was soaked into the aquifer. I think it would be harder to take it surface water because it is on the surface and all of the technology is on the surface, jk but i think it would be easier ot take form surface water and harder from groundwater.
Pollution might collect in aquifers because when the ground water goes into the aquifer it would have had enough time to collect lots of pollution and it would therefore go into thew aquifer. I think that it would be easier to collect pollution from surface water than from ground water, I think this because surface water is sitting on top and is therefore flowing and therefor you can set up a filter and collect it, with ground water you don't know where it is and if it is flowing.
Groundwater because of the fact that if it is by a composting site the water spends its time in all of that waste. Where surface water you can see where it is and can avoid it when you set up those type of things.
Pollution could collect in aquifers if the water is polluted. I think it would be harder to remove because you would have to make a hole and then remove all the water there. Then if more water comes that is polluted you would have to remove all that water too.
I think that over time the pollution will collect and eventually the aquifiers will be totally polluted.
I think that pollution would be harder to remove from groundwater because then there is more space for the pollution to collect then there is i surface water.
Pollution might gather in groundwater if pollution, in liquid form, is on the earth's surface and after rainwater that has gathered on the earth's surface seeps into the ground, carrying the polluted liquid with it therefore polluting the groundwater. Yes, I think it would be harder to remove the pollution from the groundwater than surface water.
I think that aquifers can get polluted by acid rain collecting in the aquifers. It would be harder to get pollution out of an underground water source because it's underground.
When miners mine they bring aquifers in contact with the surface. This gives the aquifer the ability to be polluted with surface contamination. I think it would be a little tougher to remove pollution from groundwater situations because you have to have guys go down there and drill a hole, then you have to find the pollution source. Actually, surface water pollution would be pretty hard to get rid of too, because it gets mixed in with the water and effects the animals too. So I guess that they're evenly matched.

carrying the polluted liquid with it therefore polluting the groundwater. Yes, I think it would be harder to remove the pollution from the groundwater than surface water.
surface water is easier than ground water because about ground water you have to dig for water which takes up a lot of time & which will hurt your arms , & hands.
2) Surface water is easier to clean because you would have to get to the groundwater before you could start cleaning, and that would require time and most likely money.
1) It city drainage systems pollution such as McDonald's cups can clog a grate and stop waterflow. People are employed to prevent this from happening in big cities.

pollution travels with the water.
i think it will be harder to remove from groundwater, surface water.
The pollution could go down with the water and it would be harder to move pollution from groundwater.

the water carries pollution so it collects in aquifers.
Pollution would be harder to get out because it would be in the pours of the permeable rock.
The polution travels with the water .
i think it would be harder to get polution out.
It gets into the water and it gets into the rocks and it would be harder to get out.
1. IDK
2. Groundwater
2.Pollution travels with water
2.Easier to get out
pollution travels with water. i think it would be hard because there would be so much
Well I think it would be harder to remove pollution from surface water.I think it would be easier to remove pollution from groundwater.
Pollution travels in water sometimes so pollution could collect in aquifers.I think it would be harder to remove pollution.

polution goes down in the ground
its probably harder to get polution out
The water collects pollution as it flows then carries it to aquifers.Groundwater because the pollution gos underground.
1. the water will flow through with the pollution.
2. harder because there is a lot of water.
Pollution could travel underground and collect aquifer.
I think it would be harder to get the pollution out of the groundwater or surface water

water gathers pollution and it would be in the pores of rocks so it would be hard to get rid of.

water grabs the pollution and brings it into the aquifers
I think it would be harder to get out because their is less of it than ground water
I think it would be harder to take out pollution from ground water than surface water.
pollution would flow through the water. It would be hard to remove pollution form groundwater than surface water

i think it would be esier to remove from surface water

Pollution travels with water.
It would be harder with groundwater
I think pollution travels with the water. Yes I do think pollution will be harder to get out of the water

No clue what a aquifer is.... but i know that pollution would be easier to remove polution from surface water than groundwater.
polluted water like acid rain could soak into the pocket of water and pollute it
it would be hard to remove it because of how far into the ground it goes.

Pollution might be collected in aquifers by flooded water going into it and filling it. I think pollution would be harder to collect from underwater.

Say there is a flood and a bunch of debris gets picked up and goes into the drain. That's one reason and there is many more.
I think it would be harder to remove water pollution from ground water

I tHink pOllution WouLd be harder to collect from underground. Pollution also are collected in aquifers by flooded water.

a. polution can get into an aquiferif there are a lot of pore spaces
b. it would be hard to clean up because the aquifer
takes a lot of polution with it
i think it would be harder to remove water from ground water.
the filter collects stuff like leaves because it is different than water.
surface water than ground water becuase the ground water you have to dig up and find
The pollution travels with the water and i think that pollution will be even harder to get out.
surface water than ground water becuase the ground water you have to dig up and find pollution and you might find alot
Water poultion is caused by vechiles littering and smokig so i think it is harder to get red of under ground water puolition
carrying the polluted liquid with it therefore polluting the groundwater. Yes, I think it would be harder to remove the pollution from the groundwater than surface water.
Pollution might collect in aquifers by water getting into the sewer.
I think it would be harder to remove groundwater pollution.
they would collect by if the aquifer was clogged.
harder because their wouldent be as much water
!.) A drain, drains the water but the pollution stays.
2.) It would be harder to remove water pollution from surface water.
