  9. What is The outside layer of the cell you may ask? Well the outside of a cell is called the cell wall! And this is a cool thing because it's rigid outer covering of a typical plant cell, composed mainly of cellulose and lying outside the cell membrane. Animal cells do not have cell walls. So thats what it does and where it is =)
