Aim for a Bullseye

Will got a new archery set for his birthday. Cole said he needed to aim higher than the target to get a bullseye. Will disagreed and asked Ethan what he thought. Ethan said the longer the arrow  in flight the more it would fall, so Will should aim higher. Do you think Ethan is correct? Explain.

i think cole is right. with arrows, you need to aim higher to hit your target.

  2. cole is correct you need to aim higher then the target because of gravity.

  4. I dont think that Ethan is correct because even if an arrow is longer I don't think that it means that it will fall faster.

  6. No because the further away the higher you aim.

I think that Cole is right because if you think of it like a ball then it will land where you aim it

  11. It depends on the force, and aiming higher.

  14. I think Ethan is corect because he is.

  15. It would depend on how far away he is from the target, because arrows glide at an angle down over time.

Both Ethan and Cole are correct because they both happen.

  17. I think that both are generally the same thing, so I agree with both.

  18. It matters how far away and how many pounds the bow has.

  19. Ethan is correct because the longer and further the arrow goes the more momentum it loses and creates friction in the wind that slows it.

  20. Ethan is Sorta correct because you have to go high but no more than 45 degrees.

  21. I think that Ethan is correct, because if the arrow didn't curve down than that would mean that gravity didn't exist.

  22. I think Ethan is right.

  23. Yes Ethan is right.

  24. Yes, Ethan is correct because when you shoot it the gravity will start to have more affect on it then the force of the bow.

  25. Yes, Ethan is correct because the gravity makes the arrow come down if there is no more force pushing on it.

  26. Yes, Ethan is correct because of how the arrow will go through the air it needs to be aimed higher.

  27. Yes Ethan is right.

  28. Ethan is correct because the longer the arrow is in the air, more gravity pulls it down.

Ethan is right because gravity is pulling on the arrow.

  30. Cole is correct you do have to aim higher.

  31. Ethan is right because you have to aim higher or else gravity will drag it down.

I think Ethan is right because when the arrow is flying through the air gravity will make it fall lower over time.

  33. Aim higher than the target but it takes in effect the distance and the arrow.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Yes because of gravity.

  35. I dont think that Ethan is correct because even if an arrow is longer I don't think that it means that it will fall faster.
