The Law of conservation of momentum, states that the total momentum of objects that collide with each other, is the same before and after the collision.
The Law of conservation of momentum, states that the total momentum of objects that collide with each other, is the same before and after the collision.
when you are colliding two of the same mass at the same time, than both of them will bounce of of each-other. If you collide a heavy piece of mass and a light piece of mass, than the light mass will bounce off of the heavy mass. it depends on how much speed you collide that heavy and the light mass with, because the heavy mass might move a little.
The Law of conservation of momentum, states that the total momentum of objects that collide with each other, is the same before and after the collision.
The law of momentum conservation can be stated as follows. For a collision occurring between object 1 and object 2 in an isolated system, the total momentum of the two objects before the collision is equal to the total momentum of the two objects after the collision.
The law of conservation of momentum is when two objects collide and they go in the same or different directions or if one stays in place. If a lighter object hits a heavier object, the lighter object will rebound off of the heavier object, and if the heavier object is heavy enough it might not move. If a heavier object hits a lighter object they will both move in the same direction, and the lighter object will move faster. If two objects of equal mass collide, they will move in opposite directions at approximately the same speed.
