An example of a stimulus that would require an immediate response is if you touch a hot pan, you would instantly move your hand from the handle on the pan.
An example of stimulus a that requires an immediate response is when a wolf jumps on you while you are whittling and you stab it with your whittling knife as an act of self defense and acting on an immediate response.
