What Defines Life ?

Kaiden says that someday A.I. may make so robots could be defined as being alive.  Ben disagrees saying that technology could not meet the characteristic of life. Who do you think is right and why do you agree with that person?

  2. BEN is right robots cant be alive

  3. i agree with ben cause robots cant reproduce

  4. I dont think a robot should ever be classified as alive because they will just start doing everything fo us and we will get fat and humans work are for these robots to be on this earth they don't reproduce

  5. no, i do not think that AI will be classified as an living thin because it has no cells.

  6. I don't think that robots can someday be defined as a life form, because the can't reproduce and they don't have cells

  7. i agree with ben because technology can not have cells because its mostley made out of metal

  9. I agree with Ben because robots don't have cells or reproduce.

  10. I think they are not alive because they don't have cells but they do respond to stimuli and they can eat and evolve .

  11. I agree with both, because the robots have some characteristics of life, but they don't have as many as living things.

If Ben disagrees with Kaiden saying that technology could not meet the characteristic of life, I agree with him because ROBOTS wouldn't have any of the things that humans have.

  13. I agree with ben because he doesn't meet the characteristics of life.

  14. I think no because it doesnt have cells and it can be hacked because itis tehnolagy

  15. i agree with ben because a robot is not made of cell so it can't be alive.

I agree with ben because, robots can not reproduce and also they don't have any cells.

  17. I agree with Ben robots don't have cells and they cant reproduce so they're not living.

  18. no they cannot be alive because they do not have feelings and they do not have the 5 charteristics of life to become a living thing

  19. I think yes because of how rapidly technology is evolving also sooner or later metal might be able to expand so robots can grow

  20. I agree with Ben because although some robots meet most of the characteristics of life, they don't meet all of them like reproducing. They can make robots but they can't birth them. Also some robots might not have any cells.

  21. BAKERMAN NOPE BECAUSE WE DONT WANT OUR VENDING MACINES TO BECOME TERMINATORS IMAGE WHAT WE COULD DO WITH THE FOOD IN SIDE THE VENDING MACINES IT COULD BE FUEL TO THEM

  22. ben is right robots cant be alive because they have no feeling cells or any characteristics of life.

  23. I think it wouldn't be considered alive because even though they would make it fit to the characteristics of life, its still a robot. It wasn't really born.

Technology could not meet the characteristic of life because they not have anything that humans have

  25. They might they might not you know I think maybe someday we will have robots and clones wade on us hand and foot one day.

  26. I don't think it would be possible for a robot to be alive. Because first they would take over the world, Also they would not be able to reproduce, Even if they put a humans brain into a robot it still wouldn't be alive because it wouldn't reproduce or grow. So no I don't think it would be possible.

  27. I agree with Ben! Even if a robot can move he could never have all the characteristics of life. If you put a human brain in a robot that still would not be alive because it can not grow.

  28. i agree with ben because they cant reproduce

  29. Kaiden! Robots will take over

  30. i agree with ben because robots dont have a 8 characteristics of life.

  31. I dissagree because even though it will have a brain and feel everything a humman feels it still cant reproduce or grow

    ReplyDelete
  32. i agree with ben because the brain cant grow if you put it into a robot body

  33. ben is right they cant become alive

  34. I agree with Ben because it doesnt meet all 8 charestics of life

  35. Emerson,
I agree with Ben that a robot will never be able to have all the human characteristics of life.

  36. kaiden, if they could replicate life at a cellular level and mimic other quilitys of life

  37. I agree with Kaden if the ai was made by Apple

  38. I agree with Ben because robots do not meet the characteristics of life.

  39. I agree with ben because robots don't have the same characteristics of a human.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I disagree because the cells from the brain would have a hard time to navigate through the wires and carbon fiber. The wires could be frayed and exposed to water causing the A.I. to get catch fire.

    ReplyDelete
  41. i agree with ben because if they were alive they would be classified as organisms not robots

    ReplyDelete
  42. I agree with Ben because robots can't meet all the characteristics of life and be living.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I agree with ben be because they don't have cells or any human traits

i agree with ben because robots cant create life but can also save life

    ReplyDelete
  46. ben is right because the robots can't reproduce and the brain needs blood.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I agree with Ben, robots cannot be alive. Robots do not have blood, cells, a heart, lungs etc. Robots don't learn like us they only know what they have been programmed to. Humans can also eat and swim robots on the other hand don't have a digestion system, can't swim because they're made up of wires.

  48. i think the answer is no because they dont have cells

    ReplyDelete
  49. i agree with ben because robots cant grow reproduce and respond to stimuli so in that case a robot cant be a human.

    ReplyDelete
  50. I think that a robot is not alive because it doesn't have the characteristics of life like cells, tissue ect mabye technology could be advanced well enough to give it some sort of personality but its not alive its a human resembling robot

    ReplyDelete
  51. I agree with Ben because robots cant reproduce

    ReplyDelete
  52. ben is right robots cant be alive even if your tried

    ReplyDelete
  53. I think that a robot could never be a live it does not have a heart or cells it can't breath air
and it can't grow and develop

    ReplyDelete
  54. i agree with Ben because robots do not have some of the aspects of humans do like the blood flow and the eating abilities like we have.

  55. I agree with Ben because it doesn't grow and develop. -Kaiden Tillman
