Natural selection is a thingy by which populations adapt and evolve. In its essence, it is a simple statement about rates of reproduction and mortality Those individual organisms who happen to be best suited to an environment survive and reproduce most successfully, producing many similarly well-adapted descendants. After numerous such breeding cycles the better adapted dominate.
Overpopulation and different variations of a species reproduce and die off until Natural selection favors the best suited of the species at the time and different traits are inhereted into the new generation of that species. Natural selection is decided by nature of the best and new traits in a species because of the environment they adapted to in that generation and over time a species can change so much it becomes a new species itself.
Organisms with favorable traits survive and reproduce offspring that are more beneficial, whereas the organisms with traits that are less favorable do not reproduce. This leads to more and more of the species having these traits, to the point that all of them have the favorable and beneficial characteristics.
Natural selection works by making more good traits from using what works and making less bad traits by not using what doesn't work, so you get a greater result.
When animals are put in an environment that they were not prepared for they adapt to survive. Ex: the worms in the deep sea vents that live off of the sulfer.
Natural selection is the process of an organism slowly adapting to a changing environment through generations of reproducing. For example: A species of invasive insects get into a forest. The insects start to borough into the foxes ears and eventually kill them. The foxes that have droopy ears survive because the insects can't get into the ear cavity. These foxes with the favorable traits slowly reproduce till all foxes in that population have droopy ears.
Natural selection is the way that adaptations are passed down from parent to offspring, and the species least suited to an environment are least likely to survive. Survival of the fittest.
Natural selection is when organisms are in a new environment and need to adapt, the animals gain new and helpful traits to survive in the new environment.
Organisms with traits that are best suited to their environment are more likely to survive. This is called natural selection. How it works is that the organism adapts to its environment over time.
Natural section works by the organism with better characteristics mating a offspring and passing down the good characteristics and this keeps happening and over time the organism evolves because of the good genes being pass down to it.
natural selection works by the animals with the best genes surviving in the environment the best, and they share their genes with the other ones with their genes, and there offspring keep reproducing to with the good genes.
Nature makes the favorable traits be passed down and the unfavorable traits die off...... :T
ReplyDelete(why does nature have to be so cruel?)
It is were a group of animals adapt and survive.
