What if it stopped ?

Imagine if one part of the rock cycle stopped working. Describe the results if that were to happen.

  1. IF one of the prices of the rock cycle stopped working then the world would look very different in the aspect that it would be very rocky because the rocks could not melt or like cool of and get changed and you would see the same rocks everywhere.

  2. Then the rock cycle would not work anymore. You need all of the parts of the rock cycle for it to work and if you dont have them all then it wont work.

  3. If one part of the rock cycle stopped working then there would only be 2 types of rock in the rock cycle, this would cause the world to look a lot different, if the one part of the rock cycle that stopped was igneous rock, then volcanoes' lava would never harden.

  4. The entire rock cycle would shut down. If heat and pressure stopped making metamorphic rock there would a different landscape.

  5. I think that if the rock cycle stopped then rocks will disintegrate and we will have none left and the will be extinct.

  6. If one part of the rock cycle stopped then other rock would not be able to be made because igneous needs medmorfic rock and if heat and presser stopped then medfophic rocks would not be made.

  7. If one stopped it would be like solving a puzzle with a piece missing it wouldn't work.

    ReplyDelete
  8. If one piece stopped working than the whole rock cycle would stop working right.

    ReplyDelete
  9. if one of the parts of the rock cycle stopped then the whole rock cycle would stop as well

  10. If one of the pieces of the rock cycle stop working suddenly, a lot of things would change. For an example, if weathering somehow was gone, we would have giant rocks everywhere and ice would no longer make giant terrains.

  11. If one of the processes in the rock cycle stop then rocks wouldn't change and there would be the same amount of rocks until we could figure out a way to get the rock cycle to work again. Also, some animals might need rocks to help them digest stuff like chickens.

  12. If one part of the rock cycle stopped then the rock cycle would stop. We wouldn't have any new rocks.

  13. Let's say igneous rocks are no longer around then once the sedimentary rocks and metamorphic rocks could no longer form.

    ReplyDelete
  14. If one rock stopped working for whatever reason, it would stop making rocks and it would be really hard to get the rock cycle moving again and every rock needs the other rocks to even be on or under the earth.

  15. If one part of the rock cycle stopped or was destroyed then it mess up the whole cycle. If heat and pressure stopped happening then metamorphic rock couldn't form so then magma and lava wouldn't form so there wouldn't be igneous rock. Eventually most rocks would disappear.

  16. If part of the rock cycle stopped working then there wouldn't be a rock cycle. What would happen is because each rock always turns into another rock overtime. So without a part of the rock cycle the rock cycle wouldn't be a rock cycle.

  17. if one thing changed out of the rock cycle then major changes would occur like there would be no more metamorphic rocks if heat and pressure was eliminated .

  18. If one of these things were going the rock cycle would stop but thats not all.The earth would not function right the rocks would be different there would never be more or less rock.

  19. Then the rock cycle would not work anymore. You need all of the parts of the rock cycle for it to work and if you dont have them all then it wont work.

  20. If part of the rock cycle stopped working then there wouldn't be a rock cycle. What would happen is because each rock always turns into another rock overtime. So without a part of the rock cycle the rock cycle wouldn't be a rock cycle.

  21. If one part of the rock cycle stopped working then there would only be 2 types of rock in the rock cycle, this would cause the world to look a lot different, if the one part of the rock cycle that stopped was igneous rock, then volcanoes' lava would never harden.

  22. If the Igneous magma/lava never cooled everything would burn then the island would grow.

  23. If one of the pieces of the rock cycle stop working suddenly, a lot of things would change. For an example, if weathering somehow was gone, we would have giant rocks everywhere and ice would no longer make giant terrains.

  24. If the rock cycle stops that mean that there will be one rock that will no be made.If one rock stops and it ist important and makes something we would not get it.

    ReplyDelete
  25. if there no heat and pessure then the meta morphic form then there is less magma which means less sedimtary then the whole world would go smalle.

    ReplyDelete
  26. If part of the rock cycle stopped working then there wouldn't be a rock cycle. There would be no more rocks being created.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Then the rock cycle would not work anymore. You need all of the parts of the rock cycle for it to work and if you don't have them all then it wont work.

  28. If one of the rocks in the rock cycle stopped working, then the world would look a lot different. If the rock the stopped working was igneous, then lava would not harden and burn everything in its path, like valleys, forests, jungles, ect.

  29. If one part of the rock cycle stopped, then we wouldn't be able to get new rocks or land. Weathering would slowing wear away land until there was none left. It would be chaos.

    ReplyDelete
  30. If one of the rock cycle parts stopped working, the whole cycle would break and fall, killing the world. It would make it so lava wouldn't stop flowing, even if it hit water, nothing would get broken down.

  31. If part of the rock cycle stopped working then there wouldn't be a rock cycle. What would happen is because each rock always turns into another rock overtime. So without a part of the rock cycle the rock cycle wouldn't be a rock cycle.

  32. If gravity stopped in the rock cycle there would be no rock cycle.

    ReplyDelete
  33. If a part of the rock cycle stopped the rock cycle would not be around. the world would be come causos.

    ReplyDelete
  34. If one part of the rock cycle stopped there would be only be 2 types of rock. The world would look a lot different. But if the rock that was left out was igneous then Volcano's lava would never harden.

  35. If one part of the rack cycle stopped working then one of the rocks would not be made.

    ReplyDelete
  36. If one of the rocks in the rocks cycle stopped working there would not be a rock cycle anymore, because of there wouldn't be one of the rocks in the cycle anymore which would make it be all weird and not be a cycle anymore.

    ReplyDelete
  37. if weathering stopped working than the rocks would just stay the same

    ReplyDelete
  38. if a part of the rock cycle stopped working then the volcanoes would just keep erupting and dont cool then the world would be flooded with magma and lava

    ReplyDelete
  39. if a part of the rock cycle stopped then the other two parts would be wacky and messed up

    ReplyDelete
  40. Rocks wouldn't change and the rock cycle wouldn't exist.

    ReplyDelete
  41. For example, if weathering and erosion stopped: Rocks would stay in the same place and stay the same size and shape, without ever changing.

    ReplyDelete
  42. if pressure stopped all the rocks would be stuck in one spot because pressure couldn't make metamorphic which makes magma and there wouldn't be pressure so that it would come out of the volcano and create igneous so every rock would be stuck in place unable to change.

    ReplyDelete
  43. If one part of the rock cycle stopped working then rock wouldn't change and the rock cycle would mean nothing.

    ReplyDelete
  44. If part of the rock cycle stopped working then there wouldn't be a sedimentary rock, say if that was the part that was missing.

    ReplyDelete
  45. If a part in the rock cycle stopped working the whole world would look completely different. Say the part was Igneous, it would make lava never cool. If it was sedimentary the sand would never compact. If it was metamorphic there would never be heat and pressure which would make no magma.

    ReplyDelete
  46. rocks wouldn't be made without heat or pressure ,

    ReplyDelete
  47. If cooling and crystallization stopped, volcanos would keep erupting and the lava would just sit on the surface of the Earth. Soon after that we would just have a planet covered with a sea of lava.

    ReplyDelete
  48. If erosion and weathering completely stopped, the rock would just keep building up on the surface of the earth slowly, and would "be burying" us.

    ReplyDelete
  49. if 1 cycle stopped the world would look diffrent cause it would miss that cycle

    ReplyDelete
  50. If one part of the rock cycle just stopped working then the surface of Earth would be completely different than it is now.

    ReplyDelete
  51. If one peace stopped working then the others wouldn't because they all need the three rock cycle types to work.

    ReplyDelete
  52. The entire rock cycle would stop because u need all of the parts to make it work.

    ReplyDelete
  53. The entire rock cycle would fall apart cause you cant have the cycle without one of the events happening.

    ReplyDelete

  54. If part of the rock cycle stopped working then there wouldn't be a rock cycle. What would happen is because each rock always turns into another rock overtime. So without a part of the rock cycle the rock cycle wouldn't be a rock cycle.

    ReplyDelete
  55. The rock cycle would just fall apart cause you need one part to keep the cycle running.

    ReplyDelete
  56. The whole rock cycle would be affected by just one things.

    ReplyDelete
  57. A rock would stay that type of rock if their was no lava/magma.

    ReplyDelete
  58. If one of the rocks in the rocks cycle stopped working there would not be a rock cycle anymore, because of there wouldn't be one of the rocks in the cycle anymore which would make it be all weird and not be a cycle anymore.

  59. If one part of the rock cycle stopped working then there would only be 2 types of rock in the rock cycle.

  60. The entire rock cycle would not happen cause you cant have the cycle without one of the events happening.

    ReplyDelete
  61. If a part of the rock cycle stopped working after a while the rock cycle would come to an end..

    ReplyDelete
  62. lava would burn the ground, sedimentary would stay the same and everything would do the same

    ReplyDelete
  63. the rock cycle would end...

    ReplyDelete
  64. there would be no more rocks .

    ReplyDelete
  65. If one rock stopped working like sedimentary couldn't wither then there wouldn't be a rock cycle because all the processes need to work in order to have a rock cycle.

    ReplyDelete
  66. The rock cycle would end.
