Some of the causes for major changes during the geological history of earth is the heat and sun because they melted the ground and the snow when we had it.
Some cases or reasons why there were major changes was because some of it had to do with volcanoes. Which the volcanoes made volcanic islands which was a major change.
The moving of continents, the shifting of tectonic plates, and global warming/climate change are some causes for the major changes during the geological history of Earth.
Some of the Major Changes during the Geological History of Earth were that Meteorites hit very often on Earth's surface and the Meteorites contained Rare minerals and the first organisms on Earth.
The temperature from the sun balancing act, Changes in the reflectivity of earths atmosphere and surface, and The Greenhouse Effect causes the atmosphere to retain heat.
The sun's radation, the moons pull. Radiation from the sun was blocked by a chemical called O-Zone. The life and plant life began in ocean's as well as normal life. Millions of years later plant life begins on land and the first reptiles walk onto the shore.
Very small changes in the Earth's orbit result in only a 4 degree Celsius in the global mean temperature which can have very dramatic impacts on the Earth system.
Some of the causes for major changes during the geological history of earth is the heat and sun because they melted the ground and the snow when we had it.
A major change of the history of earth was the added oxygen to the atmosphere. When major ice ages happened when the ice melted it released a lot of oxygen which caused the earth to have 99% oxygen and 1% of other stuff. Which is why we can breathe.
The absorbing of CO2 into rocks caused the sun's heat to not be trapped within the planet at all, in turn causing an ice age that lasted millions of years, which also killed almost all life on Earth.
