Considering all sides

Consider all the evidence that you have seen, read, and heard. What do you think the results of climate change will be on the area we live in compared to other parts of the planet.

  1. We're going to have a lobster boom up here in the north but down in the south they will go down. As it gets warmer we'll get less lobster as they migrate away to colder waters.

  5. I think the place that I live won't be harmed but other parts of world will be like the ocean because it is getting warmer and warmer every year thanks to climate change . It might not be affecting here in Maine but it is affecting people in other parts of the world.

  6. climate change is affecting Maine because it is making the water warm and it is making all the sea animals die and making them moves down south and this is not gonna happen in other parts of the world.

  11. Places down in the south are already hot enough for the lobster, but the lobster are moving up north so the south is getting to warm for the lobster so the south is not gonna have lobster.

  12. I Think the Climate Change will be very different on the place i live on right now compared to what it's right now. I think that The climate will be a lot colder then it's right now because of El Nino and the hot air moisturizer . Right now in California it's colder then it's usually is and it has a lot more rain. Maine is a lot hotter then it's usually.

  13. I think that organisms in this area we live in will go extinct because of climate change. One result of it will be more common droughts, hurricanes, and floods, and the air and water will be polluted. Compared to other parts of the planet, we will look the same way as that country. The Earth's climate systems will be interchanged, and Maine will be harmed.

  21. Lobsters are kinda facing death. The water is getting to warm down in the gulf of Maine. So the lobsters have been moving up north the past decade.

    ReplyDelete
  22. the water gets warmer witch means that the lobsters go up north and we don't have as many lobsters

    ReplyDelete
  31. Maine lobsters will be all gone

  32. maine:
is being affected by global warming my having a longer growing season and the main fishery is going up in price but down in population because the temperature is going up

    alaska:
is getting warmer so the ice will melt more and more so it might come to the conclusion on not being safe.

  33. As the water gets warmer, the polar caps will slowly melt, and the species that live there like penguins and polar bears and fur seals will either go extinct or be forced to move. In our area, we will have to resort to different marine food, if the water continues to get warm that is. The cold blooded fish will move, and we won't have access to fish like lobsters, which Maine is famous for. Normally cold places like Alaska will melt, and the frozen oceans will melt. Resulting in a rise in the ocean, which makes for a larger possibility of floods and tsunamis in places where those are common.

  34. I would make an educated guess that all Maine lobsters will move north. And also the ice caps will melt. Were all gonna die D=.

  35. well if the watter gets any warmer the lobster migt go away or die so we might nead a new icon for maine like a CATFISH!!!!!!! lol ; )

    ReplyDelete
  42. the gulf of maine is going to heat up

    ReplyDelete
  43. The water gets warmer so lobster will go away.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Lobsters will start dying, there might be more deceases in the water we swim in, and the world will get hotter.

    ReplyDelete
  45. The water is getting warmer so it is killing the sea animals and the lobsters are moving down south.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Climate change can effect Maine and California in many different ways. California's temperature would increase and more droughts would follow, but in Maine, the climate will become more wetter, like Seattle.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Mine is getting affected by global warming because: longer growing season, the water will be warmer and that can affect the lobster too. And Maine is warming up a little.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Climate change will make the earth warmer

    ReplyDelete
  49. it will heat the water causing coral reefs to die leaving the fish out in the open then they will get over fished or get eaten by sharks and predators to extinction because they have no where t hide

    ReplyDelete
  50. Lobsters are Maines mascot, and we always had pride in having a big lobster boom! But if the waters warming up, the lobsters will move elsewhere, causing predators to die out, and our fishermen will lose their jobs.

    ReplyDelete
  51. If it gets warm here the lobsters will migrate north to colder waters

    ReplyDelete
  52. if Maine was effected by global warming the weather would be more wet and the ocean would get hotter killing lobster but in greenland it would warm the glaciers causing it to flood greenland

    ReplyDelete
  53. Maine: Is going to be affected by the global warming because, people can use to much things for a long time.

New York: Seen it is so cold there, if it get warm there it will (I think) cause a drought.

    ReplyDelete
  54. in Maine it could get colder because the cold multiplies it's self faster then global warming.

in other ares it might get warmer.

  62. I think that our winters will continue to be very cold, but our summers and falls will gradually heat up more. I think our winters will get cold later, but when they are cold, be very cold.

I think that the rest of the usa will also get more intense weather, but especially in the summer with hurricanes and flooding and hot weather.

    ReplyDelete
  63. We're going to have a lobster boom up here in the north but down in the south they will go down. As it gets warmer we'll get less lobster as they migrate away to colder waters.

    ReplyDelete
  64. i think that it will get a little bit warmer

    ReplyDelete
  65. IF climate change were real (it's not; Donald Trump said so..), Maine would be affected in many ways that are quite different compared to other places in the world. As an example, weather maybe become more intense, causing extreme devastation through the medium of extreme thunderstorms, etc.. Species that rely on the cold ocean water home to Maine may migrate towards colder places such as Canada, which will cause our enormous lobster business to plummet.

    ReplyDelete
  66. If water gets warmer in Maine all of the lobster are going to have to go up north to get colder water.
