Agents of Erosion

What is erosion, how is it different than weathering? What are some of the agents of erosion?

  1. Erosion is when rocks move because of three agents of erosion. Man made , wind , water is what makes erosion possible

  2. the process of eroding or being eroded by wind.weathering has mechanical and chemical erosion does not.moving water, wind gravity.

  5. Once the small pieces of rocks are changed or broken apart by weathering, they may start to be moved by wind, water, or ice. When the smaller rock pieces (now pebbles, sand or soil) are moved by these natural forces, it is called erosion. www.doe.virginia.gov/.../weathering_erosion_pictures.pdf

  6. Erosion is when a rock is moving from either falling off something of breaking off something.

  7. Erosion is something that makes earth wear away by wind, water or ice. Erosion is different from weathering because weathering wears down rocks and erosion wears down the earth. The agents of erosion are wind erosion, water erosion and man made erosion.

  8. Erosion is the process of which surface materials are worn away and moved from one place to the other by agents such as water, wind, gravity, or glaciers. Erosion is different from weathering because weathering is breaking down rock, whereas erosion is moving rock.

  10. Erosion is rock breaking down. Weathering is rock rubbing together so they are different. The types of erosion is water erosion, human erosion and normal erosion.

  15. Erosion is something like weathering but erosion is when a rock is getting formed by wind, rain and other agents like that. Erosion is different than weathering because weathering breaks rocks erosion is the rocks getting moved and formed.

  25. Weathering is the process where rocks are worn away or broken down into smaller pieces by wind ,water or plants etc.Erosion happens when these broken rocks and sediments are picked up and moved to another place by ice, water or wind.

  31. Erosion is The process of eroding or being eroded by wind, water, or other natural agents and weathering is wear away or change the appearance or texture of (something) by long exposure to the air. So some of the agents of erosion is air water and man made.

  32. Erosion is the process of the earths surface

    ReplyDelete
  33. Erosion is part of the Earth's surface. The 2 types of erosion are, water erosion and wind erosion. Erosion is a part of weathering. For an example when waves from the ocean smash against rocks it breaks them into a smaller rocks.

The agents of erosion are water, wind, and man made erosion. The difference from weathering and erosion is that weathering breaks down rocks and erosion carries it away. Thats what I read.

I am Abby Day the SUPER SPY! I am currently in a mission, but I hacked into my own laptop and I have JUST the amount of time to do my schoolwork whilst I stalk my senpai, Raven F.

Erosion is when the earth weathers, like weathering. Water and other stuff can cause erosion, althought I don't know much about the subject..

Oh god, a evil catfish is in my lair! (A.K.A Alex was looking at me strangely whilst I sit at my table) Superspy OUT!

  49. Erosion is when surface materials are worn away and moved from one place to another by wind, water,Gravity and etc. Weathering is different from erosion because weathering breaks down the rock and erosion moves the rock. Some agents of erosion are, water, wind, man made stuff, and last gravity!!

  50. There is Water erosion, wind erosion, and there is man made erosion. Erosion is different from weathering because erosion happens after weathering.

    ReplyDelete
  51. The three agents of erosion are ice, gravity and water which one only one is man made

  56. The erosion agents are ice, water, and gravity. The difference between them is weathering breaks down rocks and erosion carries it away.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Weathering and erosion are geological processes that act together to shape the surface of the Earth.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Erosion is when rocks are moved from one place to another by ice, gravity and water. Weathering is different because it breaks down rock instead of moving it.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Erosion happens when rocks move in different ways. Weathering is different than erosion because weathering causes erosion to happen. The three types of erosions are man made erosion wind erosion and finally water erosion.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Erosion and weathering is diferant in that weathering creates erosion its not erosion.
The three agents of erosion is water, ice and gravity.Erosion is something like water it turns rocks into smaller rocks.

    ReplyDelete
  61. they are different because weathering breaks big rocks into smaller rocks and they are being moved towards the ocean by erosion

Erosion is a type of weather and it can be only for water too i think...but my senses tell me its the right answer

  66. Erosion eats away Earth's surface. There are four main agents of erosion. Moving water, wind, gravity, and ice wear away or break up rocks, sediments, and soil from the land's surface.

  68. Erosion is wind, water, gravity, and ice

  70. Erosion is not so much Weathering Mostly because Erosion IS mostly Ice,Water and Gravity

    ReplyDelete
  71. Erosion is when rocks move in different ways. It is different than weathering because weathering is what causes erosion.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Erosion is different than Weathering cause Erosion is Ice,Water, and Gravity.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Erosion is different from weathering because erosion is ice water gravity and wind

    ReplyDelete
  74. erosion is when something brecks down it is different from weathering because it brecks down by different stuffs some agents are glares water and ice

    ReplyDelete
  75. erosion is different from weathering because erosion is from a gas a liquid or a solid

    ReplyDelete
  76. Weathering happens when rocks are worn away and broken down into smaller pieces by wind water or plants and stuff.Erosion happens when the broken rocks and sediments are moved to another place by ice, water or wind.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Although they do work together, the difference between erosion and weathering is that weathering is the process in which rocks are broken down, and erosion is the process of the broken down rocks being moved by wind, water, gravity, and people. The agents of erosion are water, people, wind, and gravity, as mentioned before.

Erosion is the process of rocks being pushed in different ways. Some of these include ice, water, and gravity.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Erosion is a type of weathering in which surface soil and rock are worn away by glaciers, water, and wind. Erosion is different then weathering because erosion is rocks moving or getting moved and weather is when rocks get broken down into little pieces.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Erosion is different from weathering because weathering causes erosion, erosion is when rocks are moved or split by water, wind and humans/animals.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Erosion is the process of sand, rock, etc smoothing out to make a path, for instence rive.rs they got their smooth trails from erosion. 👍🏼

    ReplyDelete
  82. Erosion is ice, water, gravity and wind that makes soil and rocks and other things tear away from the earth's surface. Weathering is similar but not the same. It is turning big rocks into small rocks. Erosions agents are Wind Erosion, Man Made Erosion and Water Erosion.
