Imagine you are firing a cannon during the American Civil War. What steps would you take to make sure your cannon ball traveled further and had a greater impact force when it landed?
You would aim it at a 45 degree angle so it would travel higher and farther therefor it would have more impact when it hit the ground or the people they where aiming for
