I think that the greatest natural disaster for preparing, surviving and recovering would be a hurricane. For example, you need to do a lot to prepare because you need to put up stuff like storm shutters. For surviving, you obviously need to stay inside. Lastly, for recovering, people usually need to fix a lot of stuff after the disaster. (Hurricane Sandy)

I would say the worst disaster to recover from would be flooding. Flooding affects every state in the United States and can happen anywhere. Floods can be triggered by other natural hazard such as tsunamis and large snow melt.
I think a tornado is one of the worst disasters. Tornadoes can reach up to 300 miles per hour winds. If you have prepared, your survival pack will be full. But it's really hard to tell when a tornado will form. After the storm, some places are un fixable. Many tornadoes take lives with them as they spin and whirl.
I think they're all equally horrifying for someone who isn't prepared. Tourists especially. Imagine going on vacation and seeing a tornado. it would be absolutely terrifying for someone who has never wittnessed one nor should have.
I think that the most dangerous natural hazard is a tornado AND tsunami. A tornado can RIP apart houses and buildings, and debris flying around can kill people. Also a house can collapse on someone from a tornado. I think a Tsunami is very dangerous because it can drown you and cause a house to fall in on you.
You have to do A LOT to prepare for tornadoes such as Put as much of your belongings (AND THE IMPORTANT STUFF) In your basement or the lowest part in your house, and then hide there until it is all over.
I think tsunamis are the worst natural hazards.Tsunamis seem the most destructive and the most life threatening and it costs a lot of money to prepare for them and the only way to get away is to go up high or evacuate before the tsunami happens.

A blizzard because it has very fast wind speeds that can wipe out people, houses and everything else. It is very hard to prepare for them because it would cost lots and lots of money, you would need to buy big walls, food, water and a radio to listen for the OK to come out. Its very hard to survive it because if you get blown away your gone.
Maybe you could use storm windows for a heavy winded storm.
