  3. Abrasion creates pits in rocks, while deflation weathers the whole surface down at the same time.

  4. Deflation can lower the lands surface by several meters. Abrasion makes pits in rocks and produce smooth, polished surfaces.

  5. Abrasiion andeflation affect the earth by breaking down the earths rocks

  6. Deflation lowers the land and abrasion makes pits in rocks.

  7. Abrasion is the wearing away of a substance and deflating is flattening.Abrasion wears away the surface that is how they are diffrent.

  8. How abrasion and deflation are similar is because abrasion is scraping away of rock and deflation is the lifting of soil and sand. Which means that they both were away rock. How they are different is because abrasion scraps while deflation lifts.

  9. it carry's them away.

  10. Abrasion makes wholes in rocks and deflation weathers the surface down.

  11. It puts holes in the rock from the water and other rocks that hits it.

  12. Abrasion and deflation are similar because they both are caused from wind, they are different, because abrasion flattens the surface of rocks, and deflation makes divots in the rocks.

  13. Abrasion and deflation both break rocks down and yes they affect the surface

  14. It will put holes in rocks when water goes by.

  15. How abrasion and deflation are similar is because abrasion is scraping away of rock and deflation is the lifting of soil and sand. Which means that they both were away rock. How they are different is because abrasion scraps while deflation lifts.

  17. Similar:They both wear away at rocks.
    Different:abrasion scraps deflation lifts.

  18. Deflation can lower the lands surface by several meters. Abrasion makes pits in rocks and produce smooth, polished surfaces.

  19. Both damage rock and shapen rock.

    ReplyDelete
  20. They both break rocks and form rocks into different shapes on the surface of the earth.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Abrasion And deflation are almost the same because they both break down rock.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Abrasion and deflation are different because abrasion scrapes a rock and deflation lifts soil and rock. They are similar because they both change the earth's surface.

  23. They are similar because they both break down rocks and they do affect the earth's surface

  26. Both break down rock.

  27. they both break down rocks and it forms rocks on the earths surface and one makes holes in rocks

    ReplyDelete
  28. They are two different types of weathering. they both can change the surface of the earth like in the pitcher.

    ReplyDelete
  29. They both break down rocks and it forms rocks on the earths surface and one makes holes in rocks.

  30. The way is a storm called sandstorm or dust storm. It will pick up rock and throw it at others causing it to erode just like sandblasting.

    ReplyDelete
  31. How they are the same is that abrasion is scraping and deflation is lifting the soil they work together because one makes the cracks and one puts the sand and dirt in to the crakes.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Both abrasion and deflation break down rocks and shape them differently. They are different because abrasion is wearing the rock down by sand hitting it and deflation is caused by wind to wear it down.

  33. Deflation can lower the lands surface by several meters. Abrasion makes pits in rocks and produce smooth, polished surfaces.Abrasion is a form of erosion that makes pit in the rocks and produce smooth, polished surfaces.(abrasion is common in some deserts and in some cold regions with strong wind).

  34. Abrasion and deflation are different because abrasion scrapes a rock and deflation lifts soil and rock, they are similar because they both change the earth's surface.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Abrasion scrapes pieces of rock off and deflation lifts soil and sediments. They are similarbecause they both change the earths ground/surface.

    ReplyDelete
  36. they break down rocks and it forms rocks on earth

    ReplyDelete
  37. ABRASION AND DEFLATION BOTH BREAK DOWN ROCK AND OTHER MATERIAL AND MAKES THEM INTO OTHER SHAPES.....

    ReplyDelete
  38. One way that abrasion and deflation are similar is that they both break down rocks. One way they are different is that abrasion scrape away by sand hitting it and deflation happens by the wind, causing it to wear down.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Abrasion is scraping deflation is lifting of the soil and rocks

    ReplyDelete
  40. They both break down rocks. They are different because abrasion scapes at the rock using sand and deflation dose the same thing but using wind.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Deflation can lower land surfaces by several meters. Abrasion makes pits in rocks and makes smooth surfaces.

    ReplyDelete
  42. abrasion cracks a rock and deflation can lifts soil and rock and their similar traits are they change the earths surface.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Deflation can make the earth lower several meters, what abrasion does is make pits in rock and create polished, smooth surfaces

    ReplyDelete
  44. Deflation is only wind and it makes a big world change while abrasion can be caused by many things and it makes a smaller scale change. They affect the surface of the earth by changing the way things look and moving things around.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Abrasion scrapes rocks and changes the rocks on the surface while deflation lowers rocks and soil on the surface.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Abrasion and deflation are similar because they can both erode things using wind. They are different because abrasion erodes rocks with friction and can use water as well as wind and Deflation erodes soil by blowing it away.

  48. Abrasion is when the rock hits other rocks and breaks away, but deflation is when sediments drop into another location. They change the surface of the earth because they are both types of weathering.

  49. Abrasion and deflation they both changes earth surface. Abrasion scrapes and and cracks rock, and deflation lift soil and rock.

  51. Deflation and abrasion are similar because deflation and erosion are both erosion by wind. They are different because deflation can lower the surface of the land, and abrasion makes pits in rocks and smoothes them.

they both change the surface of the earth. they are the same because they are both agents of erosion and caused by wind.

  65. Abrasion and deflation are similar because they change the Earth's surface. They are different because of their names.

They both change the Earth's surface. One way they are different is abrasion cracks and deflation scraps rocks.

  67. Abrasion is when winds wear away rock, and makes holes in them. Deflation lowers surface in land. The are the same because the both wear things away, but they are also different because they work in different ways.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Abrasion is scraping while Deflation is where wind moves away from a rock, or past a Rock Smashing or Damaging it. Abrasion is Scraping or Moving Of winds, Scratching the Rock or Objects. They can both Damage and Change them.

  69. Abrasion tears up the ground and I don't remember deflation.

  70. Abrasion and deflation puts holes in something and the difference are abrasion makes holes in a rock and deflation makes holes in the ground.
