The momentum goes from the golfers arm, swinging like a pendulum, then the golf club hits the ball, with the same momentum as the swinging arm. So basically the momentum goes from the arm/Club to the ball to send it flying!!!
It transfers from the golf club to the golf ball all of the velocity from the golf club goes to the golf ball goes into the air because is nothing else in front of it.
