  40. Left atrium: This chamber sits opposite the right atrium and is the upper part of the heart that receives oxygen-rich blood from the lungs via the right and left pulmonary veins and pumps it through the bicuspid valve or mitral valve into the left ventricle.
Every day, your heart beats about 100,000 times, sending 2,000 gallons of blood surging through your body. Although it’s no bigger than your fist, your heart has the mighty job of keeping blood flowing through the 60,000 miles of blood vessels that feed your organs and tissues. Any damage to the heart or its valves can reduce that pumping power, forcing the heart to work harder just to keep up with the body’s demand for blood.

  58. Left atria, left ventricle, right atria, right ventricle

All of the chambers hold the blood momentarily before they contract to move the blood on to the next area/chamber. The left side, the oxygenated blood returns from the lungs to the left atria which contracts and is moved to the left ventricle. The left ventricle pushes the oxygenated blood out to the body delivering oxygen-rich blood to all of the body.
The deoxygenated blood then returns to the right atria which contracts the blood down to the right ventricle, which then pushes the blood back to the lungs to pick up more oxygen to start all over again. COOL FACT !!!!!11!!:During an average lifetime, the heart will pump nearly 1.5 million barrels of blood—enough to fill 200 train tank cars.-Desi
