  1. Because volcanoes can not form n a fault.

  2. Because volcanoes cant form on a fault line.

  3. Because volcanos aren't capable of forming on a fault.

  5. Volcanos don't form along the San Anders fault because there is no plates beneath it. That is a strike-slip fault.

    1. In a strike-slip fault the plates move past each other.

  6. Because its a strike slip fault.

  7. Except for 'hot spots' like Hawaii and Yellowstone National Park, volcanoes usually form where one tectonic plate plunges under another (subduction). The plunging plate drags with it oceanic moisture and (lighter than basaltic) andesic sediments that when heated can 'melt' their way to the surface. The San Andreas fault is a location where tectonic plates are merely sliding past each other.

  9. Volcanoes don't form along the San Andreas Fault because it is a strike-slip fault. This means that neither plate is being sub ducted under the other--they are just sliding past each other. Because of this, there is no magma, or a way for the magma to come up.

  10. Volcanoes don't formo n faults

  11. They do not form along the San Andreas because they can not from on the fault.

  14. Valvone Can not turn into a fault.

  15. There is no subduction.....So it can't form a volcano.

  17. Volcanoes can not form on a fault line.

  18. Volcanoes don't form on faults.

  19. There is no subduction and its not possible for a fault to have a volcano

  20. The reason that volcanoes don't form on the San Andreas fault is because volcanoes can't form on faults.

  21. The san andreas fault has the tectonic plates sliding past each other, but when a volcano forms, it forms due to subduction. (plates going under another plate)

    ReplyDelete
  22. There is no subduction. That means no volcanos will form.

    ReplyDelete
  23. NO SUBDUCTION? IM NOT SMART, I GUESS!!!

    ReplyDelete
  24. Because there is no pressure to push the magma and land up.

  25. There is no subduction. That means no volcanos will form.

  26. Theres no pressure to push the magma and land up.

    ReplyDelete
  27. if there is no subduction there will be volcanoes but if there is subduction there will be no volcaneos

    ReplyDelete
  28. because there is no presure to push them up.

  29. Volcanoes do not form on the San Andreas fault because that fault is caused by two plates sliding past each other.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Because volcanos can not form on faults.

  31. Volcanos can not form on faults because it is caused by plates sliding.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Because volcanoes don't form on faults.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Because it's not a subduction fault.

    ReplyDelete
  34. it is not hot spot !

    ReplyDelete
  35. Because volcanoes can not form on faults, It is not possible.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Because it is not a subduction fault

    ReplyDelete
  37. Because that is only where the plates rub together

    ReplyDelete
  38. A volcano is not capable of forming on a fault and there is no subduction
