We have studied earthquakes, volcanoes, weathering and erosion, now lets go a little deeper , what do you know or would like to know about tectonic plates ?
Tis is the definition of tectonic plates, A theory that explains the global distribution of geological phenomena such as seismicity, volcanism, continental drift, and mountain building in terms of the formation, destruction, movement, and interaction of the earth's lithospheric plates.

They move and cause earthquakesssssssssssssssssssss.....................................................................................................................................................................................................................................
What I learned about plate tectonics are that when they move they cause Earthquakes and Volcanoes. What I would like to know is how they move, and what they are made of.
I know that when they move apart, they cause earthquakes, and when they move apart, they form volcanoes or mountains. Also, they are like puzzle pieces. I would also like to experiment visually with a hands-on project to improve my knowledge, and since I'm a visual learner.
I would like to know how big are tectonic plates? Can humans cause earthquakes? How thick are the tectonic plates? I have some back round knowledge on the tectonic plates, though I do not know anything about them in further detail.
