Have you ever experienced an earthquake? What did you think was happening? How do you think earthquakes occur?

  2. Yes.I thought that there was an earthquake.I think they occur by the earths plates grinding against each other and one goes under the other.

  3. Yes I have experienced an earthquake it was last year while was watching T.V. At first I thought someone was like jumping up and down up stairs but then I knew that it was an earthquake. I maybe that pressure comes up from the middle of the earth and causes and earthquake.

  12. Yes, I have witnessed a earthquake be for. I was not really sure what is was at the time, and an earthquake is, a sudden and violent shaking of the ground, sometimes causing great destruction, as a result of movements within the earth's crust or volcanic action.

  21. Yes, I have experienced and earthquake. I was in girl scouts, at the fire station. We all thought that the garage doors were opening. Earthquakes occur when two plates below the earths surface rub together and make the earth quake.

  24. Yea, I have. The Earth's plates were shifting during this time. Maine doesn't have many earthquakes, but if we do, they're very tiny. Last year was a pretty big earthquake.

  28. I have been in an earth quake. I was at The High School in the gym, at a basketball practice, and my couch ran and got the janitor. Since the furnace was in the room right next us, he thought that had something to do with it. After we checked the furnace room, some parents ran inside from the track claiming it was an earthquake.

    I think earthquakes are formed from a past storm, when plates move.

  29. I have been in an earthquake before. I was sitting in my living room on the couch and then I just froze and thought my house was blowing up and just looked at my dad and asking him what happened.

  41. i experienced a earthquake,i thought it was the end of the world or something at first and it REALLY creeped me out.I soon figured out it was just a earthquake,and it was over just like that.I was really scared and every one in my neighborhood came out and my dad yelled over to my neighbor and asked him what happened,but he knew it was a earthquake because he has been in a 7.5 richter scale earthquake.The next day,we did a quiz on earthquakes.A earthquake happens when plates in the earth move around and scrape each other.

  43. i experienced a earthquake,i thought it was the end of the world or something at first and it REALLY creeped me out.I soon figured out it was just a earthquake,and it was over just like that.I was really scared and every one in my neighborhood came out and my dad yelled over to my neighbor and asked him what happened,but he knew it was a earthquake because he has been in a 7.5 richter scale earthquake.The next day,we did a quiz on earthquakes.A earthquake happens when plates in the earth move around and scrape each other.
