Skeletal System

Next we will be learning about the skeletal system.

  23. In the human body, there are 206 bones that make up the skeletal system, even though you are born with 300, over time the bones bend and you end up with 206 bones as an adult. Bones are made up of marrow a soft substance which is in the cavities of the bone, and that is also were blood cells are produced.

    Bones are connected by joints and ligements
    Bones are white.
    Without bones you would not be able to stand up.
    Without bones we would be dead, because you would be blob and your heart and lungs would not be able to function properly.
    Some bones are big and others are small.

  41. I know that the skeletal system has bones like: rib cage, spine, phalanges ( toes&fingers),and the skull. There are also joints like the ball and socket joint. The skeletal system is the main part of the body.

  43. I know that bones need a lot of calcium. Inside of a bone is bone marrow. Bones are what make up the structure of each and every human body. When you are born you start out with a less amount of bones, and when you grow up you develop some more bones. Bones vary in sizes. Bones are connected by joints(smaller bones). There are more scientific names for bones.
