The Gate Keeper 11.28.22

What structure allows only certain things to pass in and out of a cell?

How is this structure different between plant and animal cells ?

Something to think about
           Why are one celled organism so small? Why don't we ever see elephant sized single cell organisms?

  1. A cell membrane.
    They are different shapes.

  2. a cell membrane well plant cells have a cell wall over them but a animal cell has no cell wall over it.

    plant=square
    animal=rounded

  9. cell membrane

    plant is like a cube or a square

    animals is more circle

  10. cell membranes are different sizes. but depending on the cell.

  11. The membrane and they are different cause animal cells are circular and plant are square.

  12. A cell membrane does. The cells are differn't shapes.

  13. The cell membrane, the difference between animal and plant cells is the plant cell is much more complicated because it has much more stuff in it.

    Cell Membrane. They have different shapes. Plant is a cube, Animal is a circle

    2) The shapes are different.

    the plant cell has a cell wall and cloroplast.

  19. Because plants like trees need stronger outsides, so the cell walls are thicker than animal ones.

  20. 1. The membrane.
    2. Plant is square and animal is circle.
    3. One cell isn't enough to support a huge body.

  21. The cell membrane. The difference it that the shape. An animal cell is a circle. A plant cell is more square.

    The cell membrane, the plant cell has a cell wall and the animal cell does not.

  24. cell membrane they are different shapes animal cells are circle and plant cells are a rectangle.

  25. The structure that allows certain things to pass through is the Cell Membrane, this structure changes between plant cells and animal cells because of the shape, and that in animal membranes, some of the organelles extend into it.

  26. 1. le 'Cell Membrane'
    2. Plant membrane has a proper membrane and a cellulose wall, but animals only have a flimsy cell membrane.

  27. The part of the cell that allows certain things to pass in and out of the cell is the cell membrane.

    They are different because the plant cell is a square or rectangular shape and the animal is a circular shape.

  28. the cell membrane and cells cant be big because then our body would have to adjust to our giant cells.

  29. Cell Membrane. Plant cells are more cubed, animals cells are shpereical.

    Single celled organisms likely cannot grow big because bigger and more active cells need more energies to survive. The single celled organism cannot get enough energy without the help or materials to grow big enough. In a multi-celled organism, cells trade resources and help each other grow.

  30. The cell membrane controls what enters and exits a cell. The outside of an animal cell is the cell membrane, but in plant cells the cell membrane is surrounded by a secondary barrier, the cell wall.
