Given the way groundwater collects in aquifers, how might pollution collect in aquifers? Do you think pollution would be easier or harder to remove from groundwater or from surface water?
easier by surface water than ground water becuase the ground water you have to dig up and find. and probably quite a bit of pollution is in ground water.
If bad stuff get into the water and and goes into the ground and then you have to draw the water out and bad stuff out with a well. my dad does this stuff.

I think that pollution can collect in aquifers by many ways. One is that it might rain and a factory can dump waste on the ground. Then getting soaked up and brought to the aquifer. It is harder to remove waste from the ground because its underground.
What could happen is, there might be waste in the water that soaked into it. I think it would be harder for them because if some of the water is polluted and it might mix with the uncontaminated water making it polluted as well.
Pollution gets to the aquifer by seeping through the dirt and permeable rock. I think pollution would be easier to get in surface water because surface water is more easily accesible to clean.

If oil is dumped into the rivers and streams near the aquifers it would be collected into them and then the pollution would go into the groundwater that was soaked into the aquifer. I think it would be harder to take it surface water because it is on the surface and all of the technology is on the surface, jk but i think it would be easier ot take form surface water and harder from groundwater.

When miners mine they bring aquifers in contact with the surface. This gives the aquifer the ability to be polluted with surface contamination. I think it would be a little tougher to remove pollution from groundwater situations because you have to have guys go down there and drill a hole, then you have to find the pollution source. Actually, surface water pollution would be pretty hard to get rid of too, because it gets mixed in with the water and effects the animals too. So I guess that they're evenly matched.
