Sand is made up of fine particles of rock and minerals. The most common type is largely composed of silica (silicon dioxide), usually in the form of quartz. Sand found in tropical locations are usually composed of limestone.

  61. Sand is made up of rocks and minerals mashed up into pebbles and gravel.
Different types of rocks can make up sand like quartz. If sand is found in tropical areas, it can be made up of limestone. Sand can also have smashed shell in it from the ocean.
A beach could also be made of rocks.

    ReplyDelete
  62. A beach might be composed of various types of broken shells, granite, sand, clay, and silt. Glass from broken bottles can wash up on shore. The ocean's currents might have carried most of the material there.
